But actually, #CarbonCapture is bullshit, and subsidies for captured carbon for enhanced recovery will soon breathe new life into fracking that uses CO2 instead of water. A company in the Southern Tier of NY is trying to do that now.

But read the small print and 400m tCO2e is a carbon capture fantasy.
As Greenpeace have put it, “While it sounds like a big number, this target uses some creative accounting with promised carbon capture to hide much lower actual emission cuts”
