11 years ago I lost my brother to opiates. He was the typical (American) teenage opiate addict starting with Dr. prescribed pharmaceuticals quickly becoming terribly addicted leading him into the needles of the streets. Loosing my brother that way rocked me, it still rocks me as this battle still continues horribly in the US. In his honor I brought him to the top of Mt Baker. I share to spread hope knowing there is healing in nature. Be kind to yourself. #natureheals#grief#mountains#healing

The U.S. Federal Indian boarding school system ran from 1819-1969 & included 408 federal schools.
@breadsmasher I love how #atheists love 2 attack my #faith & the faith of others. #PrayerCloths aren't the ONLY answer 2 #healing, but they DO help those with faith. The #Bible itself doesn't say 2 rely on them alone; it talks about Paul (a man of faith) & Luke (a doctor with faith) working together 2 heal the sick. #God tailors each person's healing 2 their level of faith. If you choose 2 only trust doctors, that's your choice. But I pity you for the disadvantage that puts you in. #GodBless
Let Them...The idea behind this way of thinking is that negative people are going to do what they are going to do, so you can take back your power by letting them. You don't need to use your precious energy to fight their negativity.
Cheers everyone. Having a glass of wine tonight, maybe two. My X-ray results are really good, I don’t need a knee op after all. There is more damage & deterioration but my doctor doesn’t think an op is needed. So I’ll just keep working away, doing what I do to stay fit & healthy - I am a bit bemused though as it does beg the question - why in 2020 just before Covid hit was I told I needed a knee replacement, not by my doctor but by an ortho surgeon! What has changed in those four years 🤷🏼♀️. Anyway - maybe I should be thankful to Covid because I’d have had the op by now as I was on the list. #Healing#Exercise#Health
#Fire is still burning steadily & provided some beautiful ambient light & warmth - for our food shares gathering. We enjoyed a tasty fresh fish chowder, several different salads, baked treats, homemade crackers & dip, fruits, cold cuts & artisan breads.
Our full moon sweat lodge ceremony rounds lasted until 1:30AM. Just got home. Crashing in few minutes. I have para-dragonboating practice in the morning.
This #SweatLodge in #EastSooke has been used for #Indigenous#SweatTherapy ceremonies for about 14 years. It's on a huge forested, peaceful acreage. I heard ravens, eagles, hummingbirds, squirrels, frogs, multiple songbirds & loved the creek, close to sweat lodge. No photos allowed inside lodge during ceremony.
Long, intense #spiritual#healing experience. I felt tightness tensions released out of my body. My mind felt calm, more at peace. I'll be doing more sweats. Incredibly powerful healing.
Tomorrow, my Indigenous friend is taking me to a #Wsanec#SweatLodge for a full moon #healing sweat. My friend is going to location in morning to start setting things up. Once things are all setup, I'll be transported there for several hours of sweat lodge native healing ceremonies.
3 years ago we found this Alstromeria on a discount rack. It thrived in our garden, but didn't bloom the first year because we got a hard freeze. The next year, one of our cats decided laying on it was the perfect spot. This year it is flowering like crazy! The message: You are beautiful and capable of blooming! It may not be in this season, but be patient and continue to grow!
A few months ago I went to a women's conference. The music was too loud. I sustained damage to my ears. Hearing loss and fullness that lasted for 2 weeks. I got a miracle! Fully recovered with no more loss!
