Hello, #Mastodon. I'm Tay! I'm in my early 30s and reside in #Canada (Atlantic Canada to be specific).
I spend a lot of my free time doing silly things like play video games or, heaven forbid, gacha games. Right now I'm obsessed with #baldursgate3, #residentevil and #genshinimpact.
Resident Evil 2 was my start into the series. Still remember some of the jumpscares because they really shocked me as a little boy. 😆
What was your first Resident Evil experience?
Good: #ResidentEvil on iPhone 15 Pro Max
Bad: The phone gets so hot the background processes that allow the phone to talk to my blood sugar meter stop working LOL
Good: graphics
Good: not dead
Mid: Do I want my phone to be a game console?
This morning, I read Bryce Lynch's latest review of a Miskatonic Repository #CallOfCthulhu scenario (spoiler alert, he hated it). He made some great points about its, and by extension, most CoC scenarios', verbosity and user unfriendly layout. That never bugged me much b/c quite frankly, I'm used to it, and I've always been able to memorize tons of info. But now I'm imagining CoC scenarios utilizing layouts/formats used by modern trad #horror games like #MotherShip and #LiminalHorror.
