Went to see Trek In The Park at Amazon Park in tonight. It was really fun and they're was a good turnout.

They're performing "Who Watches The Watchers," the episode where a group of bronze age people decide Picard is a god.

They're playing tomorrow and next weekend.

@Gargron @gruber They HAVE to use third party analytics. Imagine trying to sell click tracking to an advertiser and being the only one in control of the data. Advertisers kinda want verification the stats are accurate. Otherwise, you’re buying possible snake oil.

He lights the crinkled twig and draws a big puff, leans his head back, and lets out a long smokey sigh that congests the room. I had no idea seats on luxury trips regularly sit empty like that when nobody is using them. Good thing it doesn’t happen with yacht trips or real estate.

@deilann @mekkaokereke As a person who attended high school in TX and had a kid going through the TX public school system, I’ll admit I was kinda blind to it. Or maybe numb? I recently moved my family to Oregon and lemme tell you TX parents: your kids are BEING ROBBED! The public education system here is flat-out AMAZING. Leaps and bounds better than the bullshit TX education is shoveling.

Prove to me, with repeatable scientific methods that your god exists, and I will become a believer.

But honestly, it doesn’t matter.

You know how christians ignore atheists and continue in their beliefs? It works the other way round too. Accept that.

In the end, policy and law are human constructs and should only pertain as such. You have every right to believe as you see fit. We have to meet in between to and respectfully disagree to allow society to function.

While we’re on the topic of shifty-eyed cheats, I think the citizens of Texas deserve a complete audit of the Texas Rainy Day Fund. As of Nov. 2022, the fund SHOULD hold $14.1 billion. If Ken Paxton has been breaking the law with Abbott protecting him, those funds need to have in-depth scrutiny. It might have been a prime target for grift. @TexasObserver
