I love Nestle Crunch style candy. I hate the sound of people chewing, even myself. That now incessant on YouTube Nestle Crunch commercial with the guy in airport security line not being able to hear because of his chewing is driving me so up the wall I'm actually starting to hate the product. #rant

You shouldn’t buy Nestlé products, anyway. They take a well in a country with droughts and sell it not only globally, but also to their employees in that poor country. Very negative company image, not just because of the water.

Now you have a good reason to boycotting their products. 😉

Here in Indianapolis, we had a totality around 3pm EST. The bird chatter was deafening all afternoon around the feeders, but once totality hit, it was dead silent (not one peep) until the sun came back. And the temperature dropped about 10 degrees.

Here we are approaching totality.
We are almost at totality here. You can just see a thin ring of sun. It was still sunny, but the sunlight was very weak.

That's what kind of annoyed me when I followed the "eclipsathon". All the people were cheering and shouting so loud, they couldn't have noticed any of these little occurences of nature.

But I think that these belong to the real experience of an eclipse, that is what makes it even more eery, weird, strange, haunting, (add any more feelings you might have had) and therefore very special.

My had scratched my couch and it looked awful, so I had to buy a new fabric cover. I protected the armrest with this scratching pad. I sewed it to the couch. Let's see how it works. I will get my cats Sanni and Siiri home tomorrow. ☺️♥️

An old light blue sofa looked awful. Cats had destroyed the armrest.

Reminds me of the early days of the pandemic in Germany. There was a big outrage of parents, when the government did nothing to equip schools with air filters, but the government buildings had the best filters installed in the shortest time. Children had to go to school, nevertheless, & had to freeze every half hour while windows were opened to refresh the air during lessons.

I understand that the kitty climbs up there on the rug. But how does the cat climb down again? 🤔

Jump? Well, if young enough, ok for a while – later, when aged, this could become difficult. 🧐

Or climb down backwards? Because forwards (head first) like a squirrel is not possible due to the claws, afaik. 🤓

Or is there a secret compartment lift inside of the tower?? 😏😳🤩😸

Leading up to her birthday, Swatra had sent me subtle hints that she'd like me to try my hand at khachapuri, that gorgeous gondola of Georgian goodness. Normally not one to mess around with self-made dough, I clenched my teeth and dug in, and while the kitchen looks a mess, I think the result came out OK. Please bear in mind that until now I'd never used a mixer with dough hooks before, and that the recipe mentioned mystery ingredients like "strong flour" and "hard mozzarella." 1/4

You probably should have waited with the yeast until the temperature of the water milk mix had sunk below 40° - 45° Celsius, because yeast (instant or fresh) doesn't like it too hot. 🥵

Maybe that is the reason for the stickiness you describe. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@eribosot Well, I know there are special flours for cake, bread, pizza, and more. In some countries, flour has baking soda or similar ingredients added (e.g. for pancakes), in other countries, it is pure cereal (wheat, rye, ...) like here in Germany.

Strong flour 🤔 never heard of it. Better ask a Georgian or Russian native baker. 🤞🏻

But if the others liked it, great. Just try it with the "living" yeast (not boiled like a lobster). 😅👍🏻

Ich fand das schon immer bescheuert mit den Zulassungen.

Wenn es mehr Praxen gäbe (in jeglicher Fachrichtung), wäre es einfacher, Termine zu bekommen und mehr Patienten zu versorgen.

Warum wird das überhaupt beschränkt?

Every time the kitten scratches you, say "ouch!", expressing that it hurts very much. If you bleed a bit, show it to the kitty and say (don't scream) "that hurts". But do not harm the kitten or be bad towards it. The little hunter doesn't know any better.

Everyone who plays with the kitten should do the same. Keep your "claws" back as well, meaning only touch it rather softly and do not hit back in anger.

After a while, the kitten should retract the claws while playing.
