I'm looking for a department program that is at the intersection of philosophy of science, philosophy of education, philosophy of mind and graphic design

Has anyone come across something like that?

Hey Graphics Folks, ever wonder who the “Phong” was that invented Phong shading?

Turns out his last name wasn’t Phong, that online picture of him isn't even him, and his death is connected to the U.S. military’s use of chemical weapons during the Vietnam War.

Dr. Oh, Dr. Tran, and I wrote about it here:

Dear Secretary Haaland,

I joined the Biden Administration because I believe in fighting for a better America, for a future where Americans can thrive: one with economic prosperity, a healthy planet, and equal rights for all people. I have dedicated my career to candidates who I believed would further this vision.

Israeli children, likely belonging to communities of settlers and religious-messianic Jews, having fun destroying aid supplies meant for Gaza.

Useful context is that one of the most common one-liners I hear from Israelis, to this day, is: "the conflict will end when they stop teaching their children to hate us".

Not my comfort zone to be the subject of a mini documentary like this, but here we are! Grateful to @mozilla for uplifting @horizontal's work and supporting our fight for a more open, safe, and private internet.

And always grateful to be building with a team of talented people who put care into both what we make and how we make it together 💙

Is there any legal system in the world where inside courtrooms there is an official who is simply there to observe judicial conduct of judges?

Who tracks the quality of their judgements in accordance to the constitutional values and legal standards, to check abuse of authority

In the US there are several civil society court observer groups who do this. This review article discusses several: https://www.ojp.gov/ncjrs/virtual-library/abstracts/keeping-eye-courts-survey-court-observer-programs

Israelis destroy critical aid meant for Gaza.

What is important here is that even though those doing the destruction are civilians, this is happening because the Israeli government and military are letting it happen. Israel has, of course, more than enough resources to make sure aid convoys are protected and make their way into Gaza safely. But instead, Israel seeks to collectively punish Palestinians and Gaza and use hunger as a weapon of war.

My credit score dropped when I paid off my car.

My credit score dropped when I paid off my student loans.

The system punishes you for not owing any money.

They told me: "You should get more loans to increase your credit score."

The system is predatory and wants you to be in debt.

Credit scores are one of the biggest scams.

In some ways the green transition is already happening: it now looks like last year the world overall managed to supply around 30% of electricity through renewable energy (primarily wind & solar).

And solar continues to be the fastest growing renewable energy source, now (for the second year) being the most used source across the world.

This does offer some hope that (albeit late in the day) we are seeing a shift in energy generation!

I have an idea for a new research project. I am strongly considering posting it all online. I wrote enough book proposals after my master's I never want to deal with publishers again. And I am a strong believer in am open and interesting internet. However, this project will require the fusion of personally old knowledge and new knowledge, and the thesis is not quite crystalized in my mind just yet, but I think it has potential. If successful it will certainly put me on the CIA watch-list, lol.
