Does anyone know a source for paper packing tape that doesn't use a latex adhesive? I like the environment, but I also like being alive.

I found an old funny video/documentation:

Thereman (2013-2014)

It's very simple, it's a theremin walkman. One hand/antenna controls the speed of the tape and the other hand/antenna controls the amplitude. The video is one of the early working prototypes.

Some thoughts:
It's a shame that you can't do this project today. Because in the past you could find Walkmans very cheaply (1-5 EUR) at flea markets or even in the trash. For the theremin part you only needed two antennas, some resistors, one transistor and an attiny84. I found so many Walkmans that it was even possible to organize workshops.

Anyway, capitalism has to reproduce itself and therefore I will find new material. In 15-20 years I'll be doing projects with current smartphones or the Pis and SBCs you're all using at the moment 😀

I cannot stress this enough.

If you are not registered to vote. Do it now.

It's easy and simple.

If you don't have valid ID you can get it free from your local authority.

Now.

It's time for an upgrade or at least a jailbreak from this shitty old paid Snaggit software I'm using.

Folks, if you need to apply for a voter authority certificate in lieu of photo ID please do that asap as there is a chance that this service could get very busy.

The real crisis facing Labour https://www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2024/05/22/the-real-crisis-facing-labour/ Labour has suggested it might face six crises when coming into office, all of which could be solved by spending more money and taxing the wealthy. The real list of crises that they face is much longer and more serious and it seems that they are in denial about them.

Am I an extremist? https://www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2024/05/22/am-i-an-extremist%e2%80%8a/ The government is cracking down on those they call extremists, who seem to me and, I suspect, most people, to be those holding exceedingly normal opinions. Woe beside nature lovers, democrats and those concerned about poverty, let alone anyone not a neoliberal. So, is Rishi Sunak the extremist in reality because I certainly don’t feel that I am?

Anyone know what this set is? Looks like dominoes, but some number combinations are duplicated, and some missing. Plus dice, and some little sticks Alfred's Mum referred to as 'money', but she doesn't know any more than that. It may be incomplete, and possibly Chinese.

One Hundred and Forty…

One of the perils of blogging about your life is that you start to realise just how dull it can be from time to time. As I've got older, I've started to relish these periods of dullness and the certainty they provide. However, I cannot escape the feeling that time is slipping by without me having done very much at all.
