A report card from year 10. It reads in part: English, Grade A, Dana is a very able and talented student who does not always give of her best. This failure to invest much energy in her English prevents her from achieving her full potential although this is not the say that this work is of an inferior standard. Also, Mathematics (Advanced), Grade A, Dana is a keen student but her work lacks discipline. She has a lot of ability but this needs further development.

If I read this right, @signalapp, @torproject, and other well-known -centric communications systems were largely funded by and aligned with Western covert agencies, for the purpose of aiding dissidents of enemy governments while centralizing secret traffic onto networks the intelligence community could subvert.

Only now they’re unhappy that Western citizens use them and so have pulled ’s funding.

@jacobydave What @KevinMarks means is that the spec for content exchanged via across the supports payloads (https://www.w3.org/TR/activitystreams-vocabulary/#dfn-content) and will render them, but the latter only takes strings when posting (https://docs.joinmastodon.org/methods/statuses/#form-data-parameters).

As fedipedants like to point out, fediverse > Mastodon
