I was very tired this weekend. I think the cold mornings have worn me down over the past week.
So it was a very short drive to Low Head to see if any Little Penguins were hanging around under the dense Box Thorn Bushes (there weren't, or at least none that I could see).
Then a trip to Green's Beach which is very close to where I live. It's a great place to sit on rocks and let the ocean's mood rub off on you. (Calmness was the prevailing mood)
One of the most recent collabs I've had the pleasure of doing! This was done for @aradiacollective 's (free) summer zine last year, appropriately titled "Summer in Aradia!"
The characters come from "XII: Of Magic & Muses" (and its sequel, "Of Rogues & Remnants") by @batichi , who also drew the entire thing. I simply colored the whole dang thing! :blobfoxartist:
About a year and a half ago, I set myself the challenge of trying to post a new photo here every day. I've missed a few days, but not many, and it seems that this is now my 500th posting.
This is from the same batch as yesterday's offering, which means it was taken 50 years ago on a beach in the Aegean. I think it feels kind of timeless though...
We share our secrets and our thoughts with those who hold them gently in their hands and securely in their hearts.
These people are few. Even social butterflies who boast of being "people persons" with lots and lots of friends would be wise to watch with whom they share their innermost introspections.
Here's one from the archives for #MeerMittwoch. It was taken in lovely, grainy Ektachrome, in Matala, on Crete, in May 1974, which makes it exactly 50 years old.
It was a blowy morning, and the sand was being whipped into a bit of a haze. The fishermen had finished their day's business and hauled their boat up onto the beach. I still wonder what the chap with the walking stick was looking for in his bag though...
