@penguingeek I played it a bit when it was brand new and forgot about it afterwards. I have only just recently discovered that it is still in active development, which I frankly find bloody amazing after 20 years.
@dustin Agreed. I feel like the forced update of RDR2 is acceptable... if I started up the game and pressed Online... because I guess they need to keep the online game up-to-date to avoid cheaters and whatever.
But the offline mode? And now I need a Rockstar Game Launcher? It's kinda stupid.
World of Warcraft is 20 this year. Since 2005, fans of the game have gathered annually in Anaheim, Calif., for the BlizzCon convention. But this year, Activision Blizzard says the event is canceled and while the game maker says it'll be back, fans aren't so sure. The BBC spoke to the company's Holly Longdale, a VP, and the game's associate design director, Maria Hamilton, about what's next for WoW after the Microsoft acquisition of Activision, plans to deal with toxic speech and behavior in the game, and more.
Wings of Hope: A Lunar: Silver Star Story Retrospective: L.B. Bryant examines the classic role-playing game Lunar: The Silver Star, and its use of sound and visuals to present a distinctly "anime-like" experience that was novel and unexplored at the time of its release, and remains influential today.
I think I'm Skyrim levels of in love with HZD now. It's not too difficult to run into new types of machines in the game, even this weird undocumented Strider I've come across.
Five years ago, the CEO of Razer, which makes gaming gear, laptops, bags and chairs, said the brand would make a toaster. As part of the campaign to get the product made, several Facebook users got tattoos of Razer toasters. Now, there's no toaster and the company says it will not be regularly updating its community due to inappropriate social media comments, including death threats. Tom's Hardware caught up with nine of the 12 folk who got tattooed to find out how they feel, and if they still believe.
@ttpphd All the folk interviewed for this article still have their tattoos and one is considering getting it touched up. The writer only managed to reach nine of the 12, but seemingly the whole group is still in touch and no one mentions that anyone has had their tattoo removed. So perhaps the moral of the story is that people who get tattoos of a Razer toaster regret their tattoos less than the average?
I decided to take a break from Ori and the blind forest as the difficulty is growing exponentially and getting more and more frustrating. Metroidvania, I know, I know, but...
Started playing Fallout 4 and to be honest I'm not seeing any issue with the next gen update, except the screen getting brighter during dialogs. I don't know if it's a setting or something, but it's kinda annoying. Nothing that would make me stop playing though
@thegamerstavern This is the way with Ori. Have breaks, get back to it later ( or just don't ) to find yourself easily passing through the obstacles. I found myself in a similar situation right now and decided to let it rest for a few days.
All these news about Fallout 4 new patch, just pushing me even more to play it. I got also Fallout 3 installed. What should I play? First world word problems
I have begun to take my 3DS with me for my walks. Not just to collect playcoins but also in the hope of maybe, just maybe getting a streetpass. Chances are slim, granted. Very few people these days still use their 3DSes... and even less people put the wifi on. However, I am missing a single puzzle piece and I really want to get that one!
@weebdeluxe I was recently selling at a flea market, and on a whim I wrote out "3DS STREETPASS HERE!" on a piece of printer paper and taped it up above my tables.
I had people photographing the sign, messaging friends about it, and pulling their 2DS or 3DS out of bags in order to turn on the WiFi. Got 5 new StreetPasses that day.
I think a lot of people still have their devices, they just need a reminder.
