I'd like to point out that this old #steamos page still exists....they aren't even using Debian anymore....I wonder if they plan on renewing that page when they release a desktop ISO of SteamOS 3.5+ https://store.steampowered.com/steamos
@s31bz let me see if I can locate it. It was when it the Steam Deck first released so they may have taken back what they stated. I do know there is HoloOS
The newest #SteamOS update is setting the scene for the next giant update on #SteamDeck. But, if you are overlocking or dual booting, you may need to set it up again after the update is done.
Hello sweet #gamers and awesome friends! It's the #WiiKend here again...
So I thought I'd kick off with a game I bought and then never played.... Yay for backlogs and all that, right? 😉
Anyone played this one? It's the #Nintendo#Wii game Chocobo's Dungeon.
@OutofPrintArchive oof that's a lot of money for a game... Especially if tou need a few to complete the series. 😔 Collecting games became quite an expensive hobby. And all those extra taxes make it even more so...
@ShareYourGames
Prices have become ridiculous over the past couple of years.
It's just not worth even looking at a lot of them nowadays.
One game I'm still kicking myself over not picking up is Judgement Silversword on WonderSwan.
I was able to buy a brand new copy when it just came out for just over €100.
But I thought it was a bit much.
Playing it years later on 360 and Switch in Eschatos and I adore the game.
Now it goes for well over €1000. 😭
I'm seeing a lot of #gamers on mastodon claim that they will stop buying games that are #madewithunity because of #unity's recent pricing announcement.
To those folks, I'd like to say: Please don't #boycott. We game developers appreciate the sentiment. We appreciate the solidarity. But there is currently no way for consumers to vote with their wallets against #unity without hurting game developers more.
So, please. Keep buying #games. Keep installing them. Keep playing them.
Give us the sales revenue we need to retrain our people to use new engines for our next release.
@ryo You're demanding that indie studios redo years and hundreds of thousands of dollars of work because of a decision someone else made. And you're describing it as "take a bit longer". That's either dishonest or grossly ignorant.
I'm guessing it's the latter, because most businesses operate dependent on other businesses. Retail stores are dependent on landlords. Websites are dependent on server hosts. Product manufacturers are dependent on logistics companies and retailers. That's just how business works. Do you think I should also not "make myself a slave" to Steam and try to sell the game myself? Because I'd be homeless if I did that.
Your proposed solutions are uninformed and impractical. And your desire to further hurt the people who are already most hurt by Unity's decision is just cruel and arbitrary.
This #WishlistWednesday I wanted to say thank you to all of you #Gamers that added AoI to your #steam wishlist!
Still a way off from the release goal, but the number has almost doubled from the start of the year!🥳🎉🙌
