Datensparsames Android mit der Android Debug Bridge. Teil 3: Weitere Geräte und Plattformen
Die an einem Samsung Stock-ROM beschriebenen Methoden aus den ersten beiden Teilen werden auf Google Pixel und Xiaomi Smartphones, Android TV und einen Tolino Ebook-Reader angewandt, teils mit mehr, teils mit weniger Erfolg.
Wollte meine in die Jahre gekommene USB Festplatte am TV ja durch einen USB Stick ersetzen. Nun stellt sich heraus: Sendungen aufzeichnen geht damit, aber Live TV puffern (für die Pause-Funktion) geht offenbar nicht.
Warum - das weiß nur LG.(und hat bestimmt nen total behämmerten Grund).
@thomas ich hab an meinem älteren Philips Android auch so meine Probleme mit der externen Platte. Hatte auch erst einen Stick, aber der hat irgendwann angefangen zu spinnen, bis nix mehr ging.
und bei der neuen Platte hat das ältere #AndroidTV so seine Probleme, wobei man ja generell nirgends dran kommt um Einstellungen zu optimieren.
Auch wenn das ROM mal gerade 5-6 Jahre alt ist, gibt es von Philips dafür bereits seit mehr als 3 Jahren keinerlei Updates mehr.

Für diejenigen, die Android-Geräte betreiben, bei denen sie kein Custom ROM installieren können (oder wollen), hier zwei gnulinux.ch-Artikel, in denen es darum geht, wie auch ein Stock-Android ohne Root weitgehend datensparsam betrieben werden kann und wie Google-Apps und weitere Bloatware entfernt werden können:
Im ersten Teil der Artikelreihe "Datensparsames Android mit der Android Debug Bridge" beschreibt Matthias "den Versuch, unter Android durch Umbau mittels der Android Debug Bridge (ADB), ohne Root soweit wie möglich an das Datenschutzniveau besserer Android Custom ROMs heranzukommen. Ergänzend dazu habe ich im Artikel "Google-Apps und weitere Bloatware loswerden mit dem Universal Android Debloater Next Generation" noch eins der Tools vorgestellt, mit dessen Hilfe Funktionen der "Android Debug Bridge" über ein grafisches Frontend genutzt werden. So können auf relativ einfachem Weg auf vergoogelten Androids Google-Apps und weitere Bloatware wie Hersteller- und Werbeapps entfernt werden.

10 lat temu to było łatwo. Był sobie telewizor #Samsung i wystarczyło podłączyć do niego pendrive i można było oglądać co się chciało w najpopularniejszych formatach.
Teraz podłącza się do nowoczesnego telewizora tej samej marki i nie działa. Nie ma żadnego komunikatu, nic. W innym telewizorze jakieś no-name’owej chińskiej marki z #AndroidTV nie ma najmniejszego problemu z odtwarzaniem z tego samego pendrive’a.
I am looking for a way to turn an old TV into a smart (Android) TV, while keeping my privacy & on a budget. Does anybody have any suggestions/ideas on how to do that?
I've just published the roadmap project for the Jellyfin Android TV app! It will slowly get bigger over time while I figure out how exactly I want it to be organized.
The priority for now is to keep working on better video support though!

It seems like the web browser is a better experience than the Android app so far. It is not yet on #AndroidTV, but it is on #Roku, #AppleTV, and #FireTV devices. I am gonna try sideloading the Fire TV version onto my Android TV just to see if it works.
