Is there a dead-simple Android #app that just hides a scratch pad in the notifications drawer? If I need to remember to "call Joe", I don't necessarily want to wade into a todo app or a document database. (In a saner time, we used Post-It notes or just wrote on our damn hands ... sometimes using apps increases our cognitive load.)
Been testing @MonaApp for a while now and just bought a license for it. It’s a one-time activation (which I hope will be able to sustain its independent developer). Check it out if some of your devices are still stuck in Apple’s walled garden.

So now that #mastodon has been around for a while, what is the hands down best #app for #android? Quirks of the web app are getting old and I wish for a better experience.
Oh well, the official #Mastodon app doubled down on making mastodon.social the default sign-up server. This is a risky move because this will undeniably make the server bigger than it already is.
It is still unclear why mastodon.social, of all instances, was chosen, while there are so many other instances. I'm not too happy with this decision.
