We're loving this early review for ONE WORLD (The Iamos Trilogy, Book 3):
"Readers looking for queer-inclusive, asexual-led SFF will not be disappointed, nor will anyone simply looking for a great story." - RoAnna Sylver, author of CHAMELEON MOON
#WordWeavers 19: (Side character POV) Have you ever been treated unfairly?
Kan-chan: “As much as I love Miyazaki-sama, I can’t help but sometimes feel sad that Kao is her favorite. I knew that coming into this relationship. She warned me. It especially hurt the time she thought Kao was jealous and offered to break up with me.”
“I have to be honest, though. I'm not willing to do what it would take to be Shiro’s first. She is such a perv and I only like watching that stuff, not doing it. So, it is actually better this way.”
“I adore those two dorks.”

I've been absent here for a while. One of the reasons is I've really been pouring all my free time into leading the second #RiversidePRIDE in Southern California. We just held our Pride festival this past Sunday. I'm beyond elated and proud of what we've accomplished. We hit our target of bringing in over 4,000 attendees, doubling last year's attendance. We exceeded our goal of 100+ exhibitors by having 119 unique exhibitors on the floor. We had a line-up of 36 entertainers and speakers. The diversity of content and inclusion of many different segments of the community was amazing. It was overall a smashing success.
We are a 100% volunteer-powered organization, and we will use this joy and energy to sustain us and keep going! So grateful for all of our volunteers, sponsors, and supporters all around.

My Girlfriend Almost Got Me Killed Side Stories
Chapter 1: Released: Lion and Gazelle
(Art: Mai-sensei)
Summary: Tanaka Kanoko writes about Shiro-san and Kaori-san’s first meeting.
Quote: Tanya was good at this game. With her platinum blonde hair, she made me think of a lioness waiting to pull down a timid gazelle. If Tanya could bring her down, she would be a prize trophy.
Pride Book Tours is hosting a tour for The Iamos Trilogy by @lyssachiavari throughout the month of October, to celebrate the publication of the final book on October 24! First up, FOURTH WORLD and NEW WORLD, the first two books in the series. This tour will run October 2-15.
Given how many iterations of this set of sloths there's likely to be, I figured I'd group 'em up when posting, rather than just bombarding you all with dozens upon dozens of sloths!
Here's the next batch of Pride Sloths: the Ace Flag!
Yes I am still making a dang point.
Also, before anyone makes a comment about it, the black on these guys isn't always a perfect true black, just because I needed to be able to see my line art to make sure I wasn't totally colouring outside the lines - I think it still reads pretty well, though!
Super cool as always to see all books about asexuality in the Health section of the bookstore instead of the LGBTQ+ one.
"Here's a collection of queer voices who speak to all the things mainstream society ignores or doesn't accept about your gender or sexuality. Let's all come together and speak our experiences so we no longer feel alone!
...unless you don't want sex, in which case you should probably get that checked out or something."
Today's queer small press release: Antonia Aquilante's MM fantasy romance: To Love the Dragon King.
Once upon a time, before the hunts, dragons were plentiful in the world. Now they exist only in legend…except in the land of Ivria. Without the Dragon Talent...
Today's queer indie author review! Stubbed Toes and Dating Woes by Dahlia Donovan:
"Niclas is a 28-year-old autistic man. Falk has been in love with Niclas for years. Both men are ace... a sweet, fascinating story with no sex, no suspense, and no surprises. 4 stars."
"The world-building is seamless, with beautiful details that give a real sense of what the world Xelle lives in is like. I really enjoyed Night Ivy, from start to finish. I need more Xelle."
I think one think I loved about reddit's #aaaaaaacccccccce subreddit was how inclusive it was. No matter what part of the #LGBTQ spectrum you were, your posts were often well recieved by everyone there. I hope to continue that on #kbin's aaaaaaacccccccce community
Had a very interesting penny-drop moment the other morning regarding gender and identity. Reminded me strongly of the exact moment c.2017 when I suddenly realised 'fuck, I'm not broken, I'm asexual.'
I have never been able to refer to myself as a 'man' without cringing internally. I identify as masculine, and present as such too, but on no level do I feel like 'man' describes me. This is not new, I've only just noticed it.
Some wonderful friends were right there with me and suggested that they'd noticed as much, just from knowing me, and that perhaps I should try out investigating some sort of GNC label.
I... I like this.
Discovering asexuality (specifically Aegosexuality) freed me from self-imposed expectation. Perhaps this will do the same with gender as the former did for sexuality and attraction.
I've got a small number of paperback copies of FOURTH WORLD that I'm giving away in advance of the last book in the series coming out this fall. Billed as Atlantis on Mars with time travel (and chock-full of #asexual and otherwise #queer characters)! This would also be a great gift for a teen in your life or a donation to an LGBT teen center. I'm giving these away for free but I can only ship to US addresses. Let me know if you're interested! @lgbtqbookstodon#bookstodon#YAbooks
This is a sturdy knitted bag with a button closure. It's made with acrylic machine-washable yarn, so if you get it dirty, you can just toss it in the washer and dryer. If you'd like to show off your #asexual pride with a unique handmade item, this purse might be perfect for you!
We've added an #asexual flag purse to our collection of knitted pride flag purses! It's sturdy, with a button closure. The prototype was a trans pride flag purse for ourselves, and it's lasted years.
If you'd like to show off your #ace pride with a unique handmade item, and you need a way to carry your wallet/phone/other items, this purse might be perfect for you!
I wanted to take a break from #WritingWonders in August, but I think I am addicted. 😂
I would like to spend more time with all my side characters because I think I would learn a lot, but if I have to choose, I choose Raffi because I think she's the most fun to hang out with.
We could play games on the entertainment system, chat about the state of the universe, and make fun of Mister Galahad, in a good-natured way, of course.
Raffi's theme song came along only days after she first appeared:
"I'd rather go blonde" by Eleanor McEvoy
"I'd rather be hit, I'd rather be hung
Than out on a date where you come along. I'd leave all my goods, I'd go and abscond
I'd rather be jailed, I'd rather go blonde"
The lyrics fit her #asexual and #aromantic orientation and straightforward personality and the melody has her sheer, unadulterated joy of living and power to make stuff happen.
Nothing really to say about me as a person, I have crippling #anxiety & so no life/accomplishments to speak of. Here are some of my interests, I'm an expert on none.
Special series sale alert! Until the end of July, grab all the books in The Iamos Trilogy by @lyssachiavari at 25% off on Smashwords! And yes, this includes the pre-order for the third book, ONE WORLD (coming Oct. 24th!)
Today's queer small press release: Emmie Mears' fantasy book Windtaker.
