I still don't get the posts from the #wordpress-to-#fediverse plugin on my main dice.camp account. I do get them on my #friendica a though and can then boost them from #mastodon.
Now I noticed that it actually published multiple of my previous posts after the current article I posted today.

An other question about speed. I have this #Friendica installed on a Uberspace server - and it is very slow. When I click on the menu entry (lets say "Group" "Friendica Support") it takes about 10 or more seconds until I see the page in the browser (Firefox). How to speed up this?
Wisst ihr, was wirklich genial wäre. Wenn es ein Projekt geben würde, dass einen fertigen #RaspberryPi anbietet, den man nur noch anstöpseln muss, und beim ersten Start dann nur noch aussucht, welche Software man für die #Fediverse nutzen möchte. So könnte ein Großteil eine eigene Instanz (Server) betreiben.

In der selbstbestimmten Gestaltung der persönlichen Timeline des #Fediverse - ohne Hintergrund-Algorithmen - ist jeder User frei, in dem er Follower und ggf. Hashtags nach Belieben abonniert oder später ev. wieder entfolgt. Diese Freiheit macht es aber auch für jeden etwas mühsamer.
Firefish jedoch erleichtert wirklich Vieles in der konsequenten Umsetzung dieser Freiheit (ok - #Friendica - hat ein anderes Bedienkonzept wie Mastodon, Akkoma oder Firefish - und bleibt bei dieser Betrachtung erst einmal außen vor). Seit dem Firefish - in der neu strukturieren Form - jetzt bei mir auch noch flüssig läuft, bin ich ziemlich begeistert, was einem da so alles für Ideen - auch der Vereinfachung - bei der praktischen Arbeit so kommen. Habe mir heute z.B. einige meiner abonnierten Hashtägs (News-Picker) neben meine sonstigen Listen in meine benutzerdefinierte Mehrfenster-Arbeitsfläche eingebaut. So etwas Tolles hatte ich mir in Mastodon immer gewünscht.

Nun stellt sich die Frage wo unterwegs das Bild als auch der Link auf der Strecke geblieben sind. Liegt es daran das ich die Vorschau für Links deaktiviert habe? Wenn ja, dann müsste ja doch trotzdem irgendwo der entsprechende Link im Beitrag sein, oder sehe ich das falsch?
Achso, der Vollständigkeit halber findet man hier auch noch die verlinkte Seite bei DW.
Mich frustriert es wirklich nicht (mehr), dass das Fediverse offenbar bisher nur eine überschaubare Minderheit der Gesellschaft anspricht. Damit kann ich sehr gut leben.
Was mich aber doch etwas wurmt, ist die Realität, dass es hier meiner Beobachtung nach nur wenige junge aktive Menschen gibt. Weshalb finden #Jugendliche z.B. TickTock oder Instagram ansprechend, kommunizieren dort mit ihren peer groups, während die ganze interoperable Breite und Vielfalt des #Fediverse (#Pixelfed, #Friendica, #Peertube, #Mastodon…)) für junge Leute offenbar komplett uninteressant zu sein scheint?
Ich folge hier #Gruppen, in denen es um das (Brot-)Backen geht. Allerdings sehe ich hier auf #Friendica nicht viele Beiträge, obwohl es wesentlich mehr gibt. Das lässt sich auf #Mastodon leicht gegenchecken. Wieso?

While I am loath to split my accounts, I am currently contemplating moving my thrice-daily folk tale posts to #Friendica .
This is mainly for #Accessibility reasons - it will make the tales much easier to read as text posts instead of the image shares I have to use on Mastodon due to the character limit. And due to ActivityPub integration, people should easily be able to subscribe to this account just as they can to my Mastodon account.
That being said, I'd be interested in hearing from those who are active on Friendica:
How comfortable are the scheduling tools? And is there any hard limit on how many posts you can schedule in advance?
What Friendica instances can you recommend that are (a) still fairly active, (b) suitable for discussion of folklore, and (c) have good moderation?
Are there any good guides that highlight the differences between Friendica and Mastodon?
I'm super excited about the #Fediverse. I've been online since the 90s, been through most evolution stages of the internet, and it feels like we're changing it once again - and this time in a good way.
Quoting this post anonymously because I don’t want to be the one to burst their newly reformed bubble. However I believe the honeymoon’s almost over with Threads entering the space, regardless of their intentions. They’re just too massive of a player not to shift the power dynamics in their favor.
People have long been angry at Gargron for sucking most of the Fediverse attention towards Mastodon through no particular fault of their own, and I believe it’s about to change, and not necessarily for the better.
For fringe projects like #Friendica, it won’t change much though, we never were prominent in the space and Threads’ arrival will not change that. @heluecht ’s willing, we’ll start supporting the new API quirks Threads will inevitably put forth and leave the decision to interact with Threads or not to Friendica administrators and individual users.
Ich habe das Problem das eingebettete Youtube Videos immer noch gut 30 Sekunden abbrechen. Das ist schon eine Weile so. @feb testet hier auf dem Server zudem eine Erweiterung die es erlaubt Youbube Videos über Invidious einzubinden. Und auch hier habe ich den Effekt das das Video nach gut 30 Sekunden abbricht und wieder zum Anfang springt.
Hat einer von Euch eine Idee wo das Problem liegen könnte? Ob ich es selbst beheben kann oder ob der Betreiber des Servers oder gar die Entwickler ran müssen?
Do any of the #Fediverse platforms have a function to swipe through a whole timeline of media/photos? I mean like in one post with several photos you can click/swipe through them, this function for a whole timeline.
Any Mastodon kompatible app? Maybe hidden somewhere in Pleroma?
I am sadly shutting down our #friendica instance, https://social.babb.no. I didn't promote it enough, mostly because I was testing it.
I love their idea, I think the folk around it are really nice, but I don't have time to start a test instance just to debug things. I also miss what I have with other instances (mastodon, pixelfed and to a lesser extent, Bookwyrm): a sense of community of sysadmins to help each other. Maybe it was my fault that I didn't find it.
@helpers Since #friendica version 2023.12 loading of my personal posts (the house icon) is very slow compared to all other feeds. Do others encounter that kind of behaviour?

Is anyone else having any stability problems with the current latest beta release of Relatica? On my iOS device everything seems fine. I don't use it as much on my macOS but I haven't seen a crash there either. On my Linux desktop however it seems to freeze up at least once a day and this morning for the first time the process died altogether. It makes me curious if others are seeing this on Linux or on devices I don't run it on: Android and Windows #relatica#friendica#fediverse
Just a heads up. The latest Friendica is going to have some nomenclature changes for Groups (now called Circles) and a reordering of action buttons on posts/comments to align with the order other sites use. Along with some other bug fixes and tweaks, I'm updating Relatica to reflect that as well. #relatica#friendica#fediverse
