my characters are talking to me again and they have a lot to say but this is revealing a flaw in my new workflow. before it was re-read the story a few times, like revving up an engine, attempt to take a nap, fail at that, and if they suggested something, go back to the text, find a place to fit it into and write.
but i ran out of places to fit things into and i've reread it enough i'm a bit blind to it so i've started revving up on other bits and then writing. and now nothing fits.
Can anyone suggest songs for learning #German ? Preferably something not very complicated.
I've listened to EinsturzendeNeubauten since I was 18, so I've started listing to them again. "Ein Stuhl in der Hölle" is a perfect example of what I'm looking for.
I've also discovered the song "Wir tanzen im Viereck" from Stereo Total which is very funny and repetitive.

@freedomscientific#question and #suggestion here. can you add #OpenAI#Bing or #Bard to the sources of image descriptions from the #PictureSmart feature in #JAWS? this picture smart feature is very efficient because on a press of a keystroke, you can get descriptions of image files and controls. except sometime, it provides descriptions that are totally not helpful, for example identifying logos that are really not in the picture. i think it will be grate and much more efficient if these #AI things could be intigrated to this feature. #Blind#Blindness#Accessibility#ScreenReader#JFW

The next upgrade of Mastodon should include a mandatory reminder when you forget to add #AltText to images. It should pop up every single time you try to post an image without alt text.
Bet you've heard this before but I'm throwing it out there again anyway;
I know xbirbsite has taught you that using tags in your posts is bad and reduces your reach and such. Non of that happens here as no such algorithms exist. (That site long ago ruined it's tag system. Yes, there was a time tagging your stuff there actually was beneficial.)
Here your works will be found easier using tags as search relies on them pretty heavily. Also they are clickable giving you a list of posts with the same tag. Heck, a tag can even be followed. So shake off the fear to tag things and go wild.~

Mastodon clients in the Apple ecosystem can sync timeline read position using iCloud.
That’s nice because you can always continue reading your timeline from where you left of, even if you switch from phone to computer etc.
Would it be technically possible to instead have a timeline read position as a variable connected to your account in the server that clients can read and write to? 🤔
That way it wouldn’t matter which client or OS you are using, you could still have a synced timeline experience.

I've seen there's various forks of Mastodon (Glitch, Hometown and possibloy others), plus there's Calckey, Misskey, Akkoma and others i'm forgetting that are similar enough.
Do we have guides on what's the difference for the users? Not for the admins, but for the users? Haven't found much yet and was wondering if there was an advantage of going for a server that isn't vanilla Mastodon

First thought was 'I don't need anything more than Mastodon' until I saw (but still don't know) 'chatting' there - which I have no idea about but yes in my head some chatting corner or ability within hashtags or something...
So I'm secure enough in Mastodon to not even look around or search for 'possibilities' because PROBABLY those things will break my old browser (or rather newly update old)... and things that break the old and simple are bad :)
But do feel free to comment (that I will read!). Thanks for the chart Deus and even chat if you want to say more about what you like best about non-Mastodon things. For example- is your feeling for you already like "I can't really go back to Mastodon"?
