My better half spotted a Chinese Water deer amongst the reeds, I only spotted it as it moved away. So first picture is by my partner, and the second by me.
Went somewhere new today and saw something new. Even though the bird was miles off in the distance, thought I'd post an image all the same.
Hobby
From RSPB: "Hobby Falcons are about the size of a Kestrel with pointed wings, looking a bit like a giant swift. They are known for their dashing flight and will chase large insects and small birds like swallows and martins.
Play the sound! In a swamp or wet forest, it is best to move on tree trunks that have been laid on the ground by age or wind. Or bitten off by beavers.
