You know #Linux would be heaps better if the default command line shell was #PowerShell.
There I've said it. #Bash is just obscure magic incantations held together with arcane #regex spells. In powershell it be like
Do-TheThing -input someFile.file -with-someOption -Verbose -output JSON -outputfile hello.txt
in bash it's
dsf --fcHFn %sD|sed s/fdH%[0-9]/$ >> &1 | tee -X | $1 ${json/ghg/} hello.txt <<(foo)
#sysadmin#powershell
The thing that is really appealing to me here is the sandbox nature of the #API. If you are any good in a command shell it is so cool. I use #PowerShell (#Ubuntu). I am working on a bot to auto block thegx follow requests. Making it more useful than that though. I’m thinking a way of looking at the requester and interrogating their account. Were they created today? Do they have a default avatar? No posts? Does their name appear in my blocked/mute list? #Scripting
@kev I've also noticed after doing a timeline audit that a good chunk is from #Powershell -- that's been a good source of cool content as well as interesting problems.
Maybe try following some hashtags if you haven't yet?
Bookmarks in #PowerShell is a neat project I've been working on the last few days. Setting bookmark locations within the PowerShell console and quickly move into them as I have projects all over and got lazy typing them out.
Currently a Sr DevOps Engineer at a very small company where I work with #Azure, #Bicep, and #Powershell every day by choice and really enjoy it.
Long time Windows user, though Windows 11 might drive me to Linux.
Big fan of long distance walks through cities. 3 miles is a good start.
I dabble in many of the usual geek pastimes, have possibly tried more sodas than you ever knew existed, and have a soft spot for concert band music. Especially if they feature a #euphonium.
