A dangerous thing to see when walking by the craft beer shop on my way home. Tried a taste of Dovetail's new pils - I think I might have to go try it more at their brewery around the corner.
Celebrating the German style: Excavators celebrating the discovery of a #Roman wooden barrel in the legionary fortress at Oberaden with #beer 🍻.
Photo taken in 1910.
Chicken breast and veggies in the oven for lunch. I’m trying my chocolate oatmeal raisin stout after the appropriate time. It has a nice head, mouthfeel and you get all the components.
Rhymney Dark - Rhymney Brewery - 4.0% ABV. B+ and a touch, malty, fruity, chocolatey with a gentle, lingering bitter finish #ale#beer#bier
3.1/5. Traditional but really rather good. Now it’s a question of whether I will catch the next bus? Hard life Beanoing. #beersofmastodon@beersofmastodon
Sea Fury - Sharps - 5.0% ABV. B+ and a bit, malty and rich with nice creamy head. Solid brew #ale#beer#bier
3.3/5. First time in Blackwood since 2014 and boy does time pass quickly. The Sirhowy has expanded sideways since I was last here. #beersofmastodon@beersofmastodon
#sketchbook May 2024. Even when I'm on another leg of #zeruchontour , I try to keep a drawing practice going as best as I can. In this case a bit of a #drinkanddraw session in an absolutely spectacular boutique Hotel I found in San Luis Obispo, called The Granada. I basically broke out a few old sketchbooks and if I couldn't think of anything new to draw I started painting in very skeletal #doodles from the semi distant past. #beer by #ThereDoesNotExist brewery in SLO. #art#artistsofmastodon
Original day off plan for afternoon film postponed, as I realised there was a screening perfectly timed for after work tomorrow, so instead stroll to local, a pint of Jarl, and get on with reading in preparation for Cymera Festival chairing duties.
I've not chaired a gig since before my surgery a few months back, now I have three author events within a month of one another to prep for. Lot of work, but also a lot of fun!
Continuing to read while also reacquainting myself with an old friend, a pint of Deuchars.
Along with Caley 80, my go-to ale for many years.
Really not what it once was, supplanted by newer, better IPAs, but still decent enough pint. On draught in the local (for a mere£3.90!), so indulging in nostalgia. Or should that be "nostalegia"?😋
Bière brassée au... Groenland! Trouvée complètement par hasard avant Noël dans un Vinbuðin (seule chaîne autorisée à vendre des boissons alcoolisées en Islande) et depuis j'enquête pour remettre la main dessus... Sans succès.
