Kira hat den Namen einer Freundin kombiniert mit dem Namen einer Star Trek Figur und charakterlich sehr viel von Paragon Female Shepard aus Mass Effect.

Finally, with my third approach to get into this game i made it through #MassEffect and now i can't wait to get into the second game. It starts really slow and the gameplay is quite aged (the game is originally from 2007), but what a great story! :-)

The Mass Effect game series differentiated between "Artificial Intelligence (AI)", which is sentient, and "Virtual Intelligence (VI)", which is an interactive voice interface to a computer with a fake holographic person to make it more personable.
All LLM-based tools today are far closer to a primitive VI than what anyone thinks of with "AI."
It's a distinction we should collectively make a lot more. LLMs are not intelligent.
[P] This is why the geth in Mass Effect hit me too hard. Their creators defined them as being pathogical for being too moral, when all they did was be kind, wonder if they had souls, and made an effort to survive when genocide came for them. The geth are just autists, and the quarians are neurotypicals. I know that when the climate crisis makes life harder for them, NTs will blame the dissimilar and come for us, first.
[P] Why do I lay the blame for this at the feet of neurotypicals? Consider...

I've got a little playlist of ambient music that just puts me in the zone when I'm coding. And it just hit "Callista" by Saki Kaskas. AKA the music from Afterlife's Upper Level in Mass Effect 2.

Reason 235 that #MassEffect two and three were great games:
No loot-mania. ME1 still suffered from it, that stupid CRPG game design to give you four billion guns, but only three that are worth keeping and the rest is just vendor trash.
ME2 and ME3 had none of that, and that was an amazing feeling.
From "I would follow Bioware into the depths of Hell" to "actually, I wouldn't drop ten cents on a Bioware game" has truly been my most remarkable journey in gaming.

This is where Kira originally came from as a commander Shepard, I turned her Story into a weird Fanfiction somewhere between being irresistible for Asari (I hook her up with Liara, Samara & Shiala), Alien 1 Body Horror, especially with my alterations to the whole Lazarus Project and some stupid jokes like a guy called Heathcliff selling weapons Thermalclips (-> Heatclip-> Heathcliff).
At the end of my 40s I still love #VideoGames. I play on #XboxSeriesS and #GamePass (use cloud gaming while away) and increasingly on my beloved #SteamDeck for those sweet non-Xbox games.
