#QuestionOfTheDay: What's a work you would consider to be good/enjoyable "mid" and what's one you would consider to be bad mid? What makes the difference in your opinion?
Hrm.
I've avoided Nier: Automata because of the fanbase/fanart, but I just got curious and actually looked up a short video and... it kind of looks like what I wish Bayonetta 3 had been.
Anyone have any experience with it? How open is this? Hub based? JRPG styled? Level based with larger stages?
I finally broke down and purchased Starfield over the weekend and started playing it. I've got about 15'ish hours into it so far and it's enjoyable.
I've been experiencing a ton of lag and freezing for several seconds, especially when fighting and just walking into new areas. I installed the DLSS mod and that has helped greatly, but still some stuttering issues along the way. All settings are on medium and drivers are fully updated. (cont...)
So, I wanted to share a few of my custom designed t-shirts I made.
Both of them are based on real shirts I own! The top is Jolly Redd's face with "Legit" on the bottom. The bottom is a green outline of a Gameboy. Both are black shirts!
#TriangleStrategy left such an imprint on me that I still walk around a foe in #FireEmblem to attack them from behind. I also surround a foe from the front and back, waiting for that critical attack that never comes. I can't stop doing this even all these months later. I also tend to end a unit's turn with their bum turned against a wall. Just in case. #srpg#videogames
Possible Next Up:

Chained Echoes
Octopath Traveller 2
Persona 5 Royal
Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age
I Am Setsuna

This week for #VGMWednesday hosted by @miona the theme is #WholesomeWaters. As an old-school #SonicTheHedgehog fan, my mind went immediately to the music from Aquatic Ruin Zone from Sonic 2 for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive.
My wife picked #Halo as my next game to play and I gotta say I am struggling through it. For a high octane shooter it's phenomenal how boring it is - endless stages of the same damn rooms and corridors punctuated by woefully uninspiring shootouts. Genuinely surprised at it. #RetroGaming#videogames
Good morning and happy Wednesday to all of you here in the #Fediverse today!
Let's discuss what our day has in store for us and what we hope to accomplish for the day.
Not much of anything for me at least right now as I woke up 3 hours ago with a really bad headache so I'm just going to relax as much as possible. Thankfully no meetings today since it's Wednesday.
Fortnite with friends this evening as always and nothing else that I know of.
While its good to see that books still hold their own (in revenue generating terms) with films & music (they outperform both), the big news is that video games generated more revenue globally than books & music combined.
As someone who has never played a video game, but reads a lot of books, I'm not sure how I feel about this... but it tells us something about where the globe's creative & receptive energies seem to be spent.
I want to give the #JRPG genre a try. I have been thinking about this for more than a year and I eventually settled on #OctopathTraveler as the perfect JRPG (probably). And now there is that second dilemma: Should I play the first one or skip to the second one? The Internet claims the games are unrelated and the second one is simply better.
