🧵 (1/2) TODAY IS THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF MY MOTHER'S DEATH.

She was told she had "Stage 3 malignant #cancer" and given #Chemo. Her doctor didn't do ANY follow-up between treatments, which resulted in severe pneumonia and being rushed to the hospital.

The hospital screwed up, resulting in a collapsed lung after only 1 week.

3 days after that, she went into Cardiac Arrest. The collapsed lung hindered #CPR and left her a vegetable for 9 months.

🧵 (2/2) I tried to sue the hospital, but a 2004 law (pushed by Gov Rick Perry and approved by TxSC Justice ) made it impossible.

When she passed away 9 months later, I ordered an autopsy.

The autopsy revealed SHE NEVER HAD CANCER! 🤬

I tried again to sue, this time for , and again, Texas' law made it impossible.

To this day, no one has ever been held responsible for her death.

Is there no precedent this court will not depart from? We can't have individual states throwing Trump off the ballot because that would be “chaos” but we can have individual states creating and enforcing their own immigration policies as if they were separate countries? How on earth can the court justify this?

Don’t let any more Republican Presidents get elected. We can’t have any more right wingers on our courts.

    I'm gonna be honest y'all, it's felt dark lately, and for good reason, LGBTQ+ rights in the balance, an election coming up, women struggling to get basic Healthcare, mass shootings, SCOTUS, the environment. The list goes on and on, and the media twists everything to sound even worse, or just straight up ignores actual news. But here's the thing, I know a lot of you, and the fact that you exist in the world gives me hope. You care about the future and you want good things, and so do I, and as long as that spark is there, we have hope. So, let's focus on some good today! Share a good headline, some positive news either on a larger scale or just something personal, a nice picture you took, a funny meme or video, whatever made you feel good or at least, gave you a smile. Let's share some joy!

    Looking at it, it's hard to imagine how such a lens could produce a clear image. Huh.

    My astigmatism is SO bad, I can't tolerate contacts. You can't get a strong enough prescription with Soft lenses, and hard lenses won't stay put. So I must carry two pairs of glasses everywhere I go (distance & reading.)

    I'm a candidate for Cataract surgery, but it's not urgent. It might be worth waiting a few years for this technology to mature.

    The whole "let's replace Joe Biden with an invisible pink unicorn at the convention" thing is nothing but a fantasy that is apparently entertaining to some political and media types, but it is a delusion.

    The time to get Biden not to run for reelection was late 2021. Which would have also destroyed his ability to get big progressive wins like the Inflation Reduction Act.

    REMINDER: Upon entering office in 1981, had congress pass his enormous tax cuts for the rich.

    The & exploded, and by November of his SECOND year in office (22 months in), had swelled to 10.7%.

    He spent the rest of his presidency trying to undo the damage, went on a gov't hiring binge and initiated huge gov't spending programs (notably "") to drive down unemployment... which never fell lower than 7.2% before he left office.

    Government should not be run like a business.

    Businesses are dictatorships run for profit. The ONLY time businesses do the right thing is either when they are forced to by the government or when it is profitable to do so.

    Government is a service, run by majority rule with the goal of providing vital services regardless of cost. They are the police that keeps businesses in line to prevent them from putting profits over lives.

    A Jan. 6 participant posted a video of two Capitol rioters — clad mostly in black — smashing a window on the lower west terrace.
    Attackers photographed doing crimes try to say the photos of them was antifa!?

    "Suspected ANTIFA trying to break windows at the Capitol," he wrote.

    That's a big nope!

    Let's review.

    The man on the right is Jonathan Munafo, a Trump groupie known as "Front Row Joe," who was recently sentenced to nearly three years in federal prison.

    In fact, the very video that the uncharged Jan. 6 participant posted is cited in the government's sentencing memo in "Front Row Joe" Munafo's case!

    The man on the left is William Lewis, aka . He's got that Army patch on his arm. The feds say that he attacked officers with chemical spray on at least three separate occasions.
