In her latest unhinged rant, Nikki Haley now says "Texas can secede if that's what it's voters want."

Okay, let's do the math on that.

If Texas secedes:
•Texas loses $68.2B in Federal aid
•GOP loses 2 US Senate seats, Dems lose 0
•GOP loses 27 US House seats, Dems lose 11
•Dems win permanent control of US House, US Senate, & White House

MAGAs never think these things through, do they? They don't care about the Constitution or national unity—only uninhibited power.

Trump moved to recuse Merchan last May—and his daughter was the principal reason why.

Went with my parents to their attorney, as they want me (only child) to be aware of all processes in place when they pass & I inherit.

Not things I particularly enjoy pondering, but these conversations are necessary. As a family, we've had too many situations over the past few years in which the deceased didn't make adequate plans or inform heirs of the plans, leading to all sorts of unpleasantness.

So...and I'm reminding myself as well...get & keep your affairs in order, y'all.

I took my son climbing in the Gunks for the 4th time on Sunday. We did a route called Gelsa. He panicked on the top part of the route, which is very exposed. He left all my gear still in the rock. We made it to the top just as it became pitch black, and walked back to the car in the darkness. By the time I rapelled the route the next morning, all my climbing gear had been removed. $600 or $800 of gear gone that I can't really afford to replace.

If a doctor stops in to your room and asks how you're doing, that's billable, pure profit. If grandma soils the bed, and a nurse comes in, cleans her up, changes the sheets, reassures her that it's ok, moves the IV pole to the far side of the bed where it won't get snagged, then calls doctor to ask if we can change her lasix from PM to AM so she won't have to pee so much at night, none of that is billable, it 's all money lost.
