🔥 Must read.

Scandal made possible by the EU: people are arbitrarily abducted, sold or abandoned in the desert, because of the color of their skin.

Tens of thousands of persons are arbitrarily captured and dumped every year in remote areas to prevent them from migrating to Europe.

More than 35 journalists contributed to this investigation (Lighthouse Reports).

For Dutch speakers, I highly recommend this article.
It's very detailed.

They also give the example of Timothy Hucks, an guy from New York whose crime is to be black. Timothy simply left his flat in Morocco to buy some booze. He got abducted by Moroccan security forces, who decided that, no, he is not American, and dumped him far in the desert with others—all black people.

Here, the @EUCommission resembles the worst multinational corporations — trying to evade its responsibilities by simply subcontracting its human right violations.

Several hundreds of MILLIONS € are being spent on this.

An International Court of Justice ought to look into this.

As the Dutch newspaper Trouw wrote this morning, this is only the first article on this topic.
More will come.

ICC is seeking an arrest warrant against Netanyahu and the defence minister of Israel. Finally, someone is taking a stand for Palestine and stopping the war!

The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court said May 20 he is seeking arrest warrants for leaders of Israel and Hamas, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, over actions taken during their seven-month war.

Israeli government is now curtailing the right to freedom of speech in the country to prevent the broadcasting of the reality of genocide. Not surprised now!

Israeli officials seized a camera and broadcasting equipment belonging to The Associated Press in southern Israel on May 21, accusing the news organization of violating a new media law by providing images to Al Jazeera.

Actualizing Human Rights: Global Inequality, Future People, and Motivation by Jos Philips, 2020

Taking a perspective from moral and political philosophy, the book focuses on two challenges to human rights that have until now received little attention, but that need to be addressed if human rights are to remain plausible as a global ideal.

“Forced displacement is a grave crime that is negatively impacting the lives of over a million civilians, most of whom are women and children. As it is being carried out methodically and extensively, it is considered a crime against humanity and a war crime, and is included in the crime of genocide that Israel is committing in the Gaza Strip.”

Then you'll hate me pointing out that Trump introduced a 25% tariff on Chinese EVs, and Biden is upping that to 100% tariff.

Until we can call out violations anywhere, I think we'll continue to fail to address either or historical injustices. Giving one country a pass because they produce more or have more solar panels is merely kicking the can down the road.
