This is a weird request, but I figure the worst I can get for it is silence. I'm totally #blind and have very bad hearing. To set up a device through its inaccessible software, I'm in need of a sighted person for about an hour and a half to two hours who can access a computer remotely, speaks and reads English, and can describe images and graphs. The person needs to be quite patient with follow-up questions, needs to be willing to repeat if needed, as well as be able to click on items and describe what happens on the screen. The person needs to be fairly detail oriented because some of the images appear to have arrows and other ways to expand them, according to the manual. Though I'm happy to be reasonable, I have no clue how much to offer as payment, this is my first request of this kind. I'm posting it because I know we have some blind people here who may be able to point me towards someone who has done this before and may be willing to do it for such a short period. Boosts welcome, indeed, they're appreciated. #hearingimpaired#software#A11Y#accessibility#remote
Ok Fediverse I'm throwing up an SOS.
I need to get my self #FediHired. I've been applying, and working with a recruiter, but so far bubkis.
I can only do #Remote work due to health reasons.
I'm a skilled #PatentSpecialist, but also have years of experience in #Accounting, #Research, and #TechnicalWriting. Pretty much if it involves a computer, I can do it (Yes, including websites and graphics). I'm fluent in #English.
Hello Fediverse friends! My partner, who has total 16 years of experience in software in an impressive array of various technologies, is looking for new opportunities. What he's looking for:
If you have #SocialMedia and #marketting experience and are looking for #remote work, the #nonprofit I work for is looking for someone, contract to start. Preference given to someone #disabled in some way. I'd love to have someone take this that's familiar with Mastodon.
I’ve just been laid off and am therefore extremely available for hire!
I know a decent bit of #Python and some #TypeScript, have worked in #AWS#cloud environments for a number of years now, also love #Django, and have a good amount of practice with #remote work. I’m also usually up for learning something new.
A shift to remote working is likely to wipe off $800 billion from the value of office buildings in major global cities by 2030, according to a study published by consulting firm McKinsey on Thursday.
Hey folks, I'm about to be available for a new #freelance#remote project.
I'm a full-stack, mobile developer for more than 15 years. My focus is building apps on Apple Platforms and I have extensive experience creating components for Big Data tools and Digital Twins. I've previously worked with both small product studios, SMEs and larger organizations in various domains—healthcare, IoT, safety, mobility etc.
I've always been interested in technology & design ever since my teen years, so having the opportunity to work for a company in that field would be an honor.
Since I have an official autism diagnosis under my belt, I'm willing to work through obtaining any necessary accommodations with future bosses & managers to ensure that I can be a highly productive employee.
NOTE: My resume is currently a bit out of date, but I will make it available for anyone to read as soon as it's fully updated.
If anyone has any questions and/or would like to offer me an interview, my DMs are always open for recruiters.
P.S. Any boosts on this toot are greatly appreciated! 💜
Falls Ihr also was hört, bitte melden... Und gern teilen.
I'm an experienced #freelance#developer, specialized in #PHP / #Laravel. I build new applications, and develop / debug / refactor legacy code. I can also help you with servers and infrastructure.
I am currently available for around 20 hours a week. Fully #remote, or hybrid in the neighbourhood of #Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
I'm looking for post-doc research opportunities or web/software development roles, ideally a combination, as in digital humanities research.
My previous research experience is in heritage and higher education for the arts.
My PhD was about knowledge frameworks and the affordances of digital tools and representations in research, in relation to research reuse, transparency and inclusivity.
I would love to be able to contribute more to innovative work on research and knowledge representations.
I am open to new possibilities! In particular I am interested in the possibility of becoming involved in sustainability and biodiversity-related research.
I am a full-stack web developer, and have a good deal of front-end design experience. I am open to all opportunities, particularly remote working!
I am not great at this self-promotion thing...
I will be putting a portfolio site online soon, but am happy to share a CV with anyone who is interested in the meantime.
Just realizing that I never ended up posting this here, and I know it's Saturday but here we go anyway:
I'm actually looking for work!👀
I'm looking for #devrel (with a specialization in #devex, web standards and OS communities) or #fullstack eng roles (primarily #javascript but I dabble in half a dozen other languages, from Rust to Go to embedded C/C++ & happy to learn), have quite a bit of experience/interest in #webassembly, #cloudnative and can hold my own in #devops (e.g. the #RustFest infra used for the EuroRust live stream was hosted by us).
I am based in Tallinn, and looking exclusively for fully #remote (ideally seasoned async/flexible remote teams and I am happy to help building a great culture as well using my previous experience at Mozilla & other companies in the past 7 years).
Also open for part-time and/or contracting with the right people/product.
If you know someone would appreciate an intro, say hello @ https://flak.is
