> After this experiment, I installed a text-based launcher called OLauncher [1] on my Android phone that gets rid of app icons. OLauncher lets me have a few apps on my home screen, but they're all described in text instead of with a graphic. I made sure nothing habit-forming was there, only single-purpose tools like my calendar, to-do list, and Google Maps.
DID YOU KNOW… that if you use #Mastodon on the web, you can follow a hashtag and get the updates in your home feed?
Simply click on or search for a #hashtag and then tap the little icon in the top right of that column (the person with a plus) to start following that topic.
#android help please. Was wondering if anyone who is running android 13 can advise I have a doc icon that I would like to change for another icon however, when flicking up and down on the item within the doc, there appears to be no way of removing that particular item from the doc. How do I move another icon on my home screen into the dock and get rid of the icon in the dock that I no longer wish to keep their? Thank you to anyone who may be able to advise.
I am running talkback 13.1 and android 13. I do not know if it is called the doc on android but I am referring to the bar of icons at the bottom of the screen.
If you're feeling those tabs get a bit overwhelming, and you only got one you really need know that both #Android and #Desktop allows you to "Close other tabs".
Or if you'd rather keep all your tabs, we've got plenty of other #TabManagement features so stay tuned. 😉

I’m using an #AppleTV (4K 2nd gen) as HomeKit central and several #EveEnergy
devices.
I could upgrade the plugs and the AppleTV to Matter.
Would it be possible to control (at least) the smart plugs using an #Android smartphone? Or is this even with Matter not possible and you still need a #GoogleHome central and the “Matter support” is only for more interoperability of different devices insides ONE of this walled gardens? 1/2
