I wasn't planning to post today. But since I learned that today is #NationalRescueDogDay and #WorldBeeDay, as well as #Mondog, here are some assorted pictures from our home. This #gardenia is a different variety with thinner petals but smells just as good.
Visited Schreiner's iris gardens yesterday, and started work on the raised beds. As always too much to do in the garden, but enjoying every bit of color to be found! #pnwgardening#bloomscrolling#gardening
Flowers in the early morning sun. My iPhone says they are fortnight lilies or wood iris; fortnight lily seems like the better match. #bloomscrolling#today#garden
Last year we planted California Poppy seeds in my ongoing effort to improve the backyard by reseeding an acre of grass with more native plants. This year we've got flowers! 🧡💚
I don't know what this bush is. My mom planted it years ago. We are all very allergic to it, but the flowers are so pretty and they only bloom for a short period of time so we haven't torn it out. #BloomScrolling
#bloomscrolling The neighborhood Bird has bloomed, with more to come! I really like the leaves on their own, but it’s a special treat to get the flowers out.
I propagated some of this cluster over by my house and am eagerly awaiting my first bloom-on-premises.
