Principal: Hi. I'm looking for the new student, Susan.

Teacher: Yes, I told her about the afternoon snacks. Maybe she went to go get some toast and jam.

Principal: Uh, where's the food again?

Teacher: In...the cafeteria?

Principal: Oh, right! I'll go look for her there.

Teacher: My room's heater is broken.

Manager: We don't have any other classrooms for you.

Teacher: What about that one, that one over there, or the other 4-5 free rooms?

Manager: As I said, go find somewhere else, like the public study room.

Teacher: You want me to teach my history lessons in a big, open public space where kids are running around, talking, and playing on their phones?

Manager: We don't have any other free classrooms.

A girl saved herself and enrolled back to school. An action was taken by the officials to save the girl.

A student of Class 8 in Gonda reported her impending marriage to field officers and activists in the district, saving herself from child marriage. The girl was subsequently rescued by an anti-human trafficking unit and childline team, following which she was enrolled back in school.

We could be facing a pivotal moment in as the landscape faces remarkable forces for/of change, across ( not just but including of course, with and ) and cultural shifts, politics generally, social-emotional development in Society, and so much more ... Here is the thing. It's going to work out. But put on your seatbelt, it might get a little bumpy.

Division, be it by wealth (education, medicine, housing) is a scourge and had been for as long as I can remember in Britain. We have the CoE in the already deeply flawed House of Lords by right, what is next?

Keeping my fingers crossed for ya on the U.S west coast.
It's only 9:30 pm pt there.

Will check back in another hour to see if anyone posts anything more than purple sky glow.

BTW: for anyone not familiar with it's aurora related but it's caused by the gas, not directly by the charged particles.
Still pretty enchanting
to watch though!

Studies like this are an indictment against Republican policies to purposefully under-fund pre-k and schools in districts where the majority of residents are people of color, ethnic or religious minorities, or poor.

From the article:
Metacognitive abilities may be more influenced by environment than genetics by Eric W. Dolan, May 3, 2024 in Cognitive Science

"...Metacognition refers to the awareness and management of one’s own cognitive processes, such as learning and problem-solving, while mentalizing involves understanding and interpreting the mental states of oneself and others, crucial for effective social interaction.

...Contrary to the traditionally high heritability observed in general cognitive abilities like intelligence, the researchers found that metacognition and mentalizing are more strongly influenced by environmental factors than by genetic ones..."
