Another thing I like about #Misskey's custom emoji reactions is that I can get the gist of what a post written in a language I do not understand is saying via the reactions being given by the cool people of misskey.io. So even if #DeepL is not giving me translations that don't make sense, I can tell for example that @syuilo is hungry from the numerous pizza emojis being given :blobcatnompizza: and give a ":yuyuko_corndog:" :koakuma_giggle:

One of these days, I'm gonna get good at doing the Emoji stuff on my phone. I just, like, why would some one spend seconds going to a whole new keyboard, and fidning an Emoji in that big long list, or hitting a search box and typing what they're looking for? Like I feel like it'd take me a long time. I do kinda wish there was a way to just do that quickly in Braille, like hit a command and type "smile" in Braille, hit Enter, and "arrow" through results, kinda like the app search on the home screen we have now.

Does anyone have a good solution for typing emojis in any random box on #Linux? Right now I’ve got compose key shortcuts set up for a few of them, but I have to remember which ones I’ve defined, and that doesn’t exactly scale. Ideally I’d be able to define a hotkey that would bring up a little search box that I can type in “tada” for 🎉 and “flamingo” for 🦩.
