In 2010, #RFKJr was experiencing #memory loss & #mental fogginess so severe that a friend grew concerned he might have a #brain tumor. #Kennedy said he consulted several of the country’s top neurologists, many of whom had either treated or spoken to his uncle, Senator Edward M. Kennedy, before his death the previous yr of brain cancer.
Several drs noticed a dark spot on the younger Kennedy’s brain scans & concluded that he had a tumor, he said in a 2012 #deposition reviewed by NYT.
#RFKJr was immediately scheduled for a procedure at Duke Medical Center by the same surgeon who had operated on his uncle….
While packing for the trip, he said, he received a call from a doctor at NY-Presbyterian Hospital who had a different opinion: #Kennedy, he believed, had a dead #parasite in his head.
The doctor believed that the abnormality seen on his scans “was caused by a worm that got into my #brain & ate a portion of it & then died,” Kennedy said in the #deposition.
#RFKJr has gone to lengths to appear hale, skiing w/a pro snowboarder & w/an Olympic gold medalist….A camera crew was at his side while he lifted weights, shirtless, at an outdoor gym in Venice Beach.🙄
For decades, #Kennedy suffered from #AtrialFibrillation, a heartbeat abnormality that increases the risk of #stroke or #HeartFailure. He has been hospitalized ≥4X, although in an interview… this winter, he said he had not had an incident in >a decade & believed the condition had “disappeared.”
About the same time he learned of the parasite, #RFKJr said, he was also diagnosed w/ #MercuryPoisoning, most likely from ingesting too much fish containing the dangerous heavy metal, which can cause serious #neurological issues.
“I have #cognitive problems, clearly,” #Kennedy said in the 2012 #deposition. “I have short-term #memory loss, AND I have longer-term memory loss that affects me.”

Some members of the extended #Kennedy clan have issued stmnts making clear they stand w/ #POTUS#Biden in this fall’s #election. But a gathering of dozens of Kennedys at the #WhiteHouse last wknd marked the beginning of a more active effort by the family to boost Biden’s reelection, & push back against one of their own.
“There was a point of having everybody there,” a snr member of the Kennedy family said of their gathering.
#RFKjr is continuing to demonstrate his craven, self-serving narcissism in the aftermath of his incredibly dumb #SuperBowl ad. Despite his entire family publicly opposing his candidacy, and penchant for conspiracy theories, #Kennedy used them and their images in his ad, promoting the false notion that he had the Kennedy family behind him.
He put out an "apology" to his family, but has kept the link to the ad prominently on his Twitter profile. He really is the worst.
