I wish these had been around when I was living in London 😔

Wow. The driver of a London bus refused to let a lady on his bus this morning.
Why? She was wearing a Free Palestine badge.

📖 “Colindale tube station to close in June for major rebuilding works” https://www.ianvisits.co.uk/articles/colindale-tube-station-to-close-in-june-for-major-rebuilding-works-70041/ /by @ianvisits

The article notes the Levelling Up fund is being used for this project. I’d thought that whole scheme was supposed to level the playing field in the north of England? London is pretty much “levelled up” when compared to the rest of the country 🤷‍♂️

New station looks like it’s going to be good though. The current one isn’t great.

A leaflet from the early 1990s by Buses Ltd. promoted bus usage to tackle traffic and pollution and the 'Red Routes' scheme to keep the moving.

Mention that driver-only buses do not hold up traffic as ⅔ of bus passengers use passes or pre-paid tickets.

First page of the leaflet
Second page of the leaflet Buses provide an alternative transport system which could reduce this problem, benefiting you, your neighbourhood, your place of work and your world.

I have no problems with ULEZ or enforcement, but it is clear here that Transport for London are employing companies that break the law and steal you personal data.

To add insult to injury they don’t even get it right all the time.

The U.K. appears to want to be known as a rogue state. Or maybe just confirmed as one.

“Police investigate London Tube driver's pro-Palestinian chant

An unverified video circulating online appears to show a Central line driver chanting "free Palestine" over the train's public address system

(…) the driver can be heard saying "hope you all have a pleasant day today" and "keep all those people in your prayers"

Hardly worthy of police investigation, unless you’re in a police state.
