Ok look I actually really like my Hyundai and it’s been super dependable but if I had the money right now I would get literally ANYTHING ELSE because I simply CANNOT keep taking a day off work to go deal with their endless effing recalls. #hyundai#hyundairecall@hyundai
In 2007, Canada started requiring all vehicles to have a cheap, effective anti-theft device. The U.S. didn't. Now, it is paying the price with a surge in Kia and Hyundai thefts.
Just found a cool new feature in my car app. It is providing electricity consumption statistics broken down by car subsystem for every trip in the past day. Wish I had had this when we drove across Canada! They should add the temperature outside and in the cabin (it was 6°C out and 19.5°C in)
The attached pic is a short 6km trip around town.
Six minutes.
34Wh for Climate Control.
275Wh for driving
100Wh for accessories
0Wh for Battery Care
and 435Wh Regenerated from braking.
Total energy used 409Wh. #Hyundai#KonaEV#EVCrossCanada#stats
A transmission overcomes the inherent weakness of an ICE, attempting to match torque to driving requirements at different speeds.
All an EV needs is clever regeneration to simulate downshifting before a bend, and it already has instant acceleration out of a bend. Add a boost setting if you want.
The rest is stupidity I won’t pay for. It lowers my opinion of #Hyundai that they want to sell this.
Great research from #greenpeace about the myth of EVs and the #greenwashing going on at the major car companies who continue to produce thousands of gas guzzling SUVs #hyundai, #ford#gm
