North Carolina bill to curb mask-wearing in protests could make it illegal for medical reasons, too

People wearing a mask during protests could face extra penalties if arrested, under proposed legislation critics say could make it illegal to wear a mask in public to protect against COVID-19 or for other health reasons.

“The world is different now. We can’t go back to when pandemics didn’t happen.” - Sen. Natasha Marcus (D)

Woman pleads guilty to conspiring with neo-Nazi leader to attack energy grid

A Maryland woman admitted to scheming with a neo-Nazi leader from Florida to destroy electrical substations surrounding Baltimore in an attack that she told a confidential FBI source would be “legendary” and “probably permanently completely lay this city to waste.”

If you're an American born after 1969, you've never lived under a liberal-leaning U.S. Supreme Court.

If Hillary Clinton had been elected in 2016, that could have changed.

The U.S. could be much different.

Roe would still be the law of the land.

Justice and equality could move forward, not backward.

The Supreme Court, and federal courts, are reason enough to vote for Democrats.

Fear is widespread on American campuses, researcher says

Students are “observing acts of physical violence and intimidation right in front of them. Jewish students are seeing Jewish buildings attacked. Muslim students are seeing people ... counterattack against Muslims. The students that are not Jewish and not Muslim, they’re just seeing everybody getting ... attacked.”

  • If you blame Joe Biden for the TikTok law, you don't understand how U.S. government works.

  • Trump also tried to ban it. He failed. It's not a partisan issue.

  • Court challenges could keep TikTok alive in the U.S. a few years, and possibly save it.

Why is US threatening to ban TikTok? Will other countries follow suit?

But I think, like Winston Churchill, we should all remember for having the courage to run red lights on his bicycle.

If Ukraine wins, the U.S. wins.

is beating without U.S. or military forces.

I'd rather send American weapons and dollars to fight Russia's invasion than servicemen and women.

If the U.S. gets miserly now, it might not have a choice later. The costs, in lives and dollars, would be enormous.
