Visited Rievaulx abbey today - which was helpfully encased in rain.

View through the 13th century pointed arches of the ruined abbey towards the more devastated 12th century parts of the abbey.

Ruins of Whitby Abbey over the harbor town of the same name in North England. The Benedictine Abbey is one of the many monasteries dissolved by the Tudor king Henry VIII. The dramatic ruins were also featured in Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Throwback Thursday - this week last year, 2022. Leacha na Buaile
(Leacanabuile) stone fort. As with this week this year, it was miserably wet most days, even cold. And then the sun came out strongly one day and we visited this fort on a hill.
