The Smithereens are my favorite band for a lot of reasons. One is that they can NAIL a cover song. They collected 22 of them in 2018 in this killer 'Covers' collection on Bandcamp. Everything from Kinks to Billie Holiday, Sam the Sham, Beatles to Beach Boys to Springsteen.
The Jersey Four sure could cover a song. They even covered an ENTIRE Beatles album, which is epic. I bet you'll recognize several of these. And man, Pat's VOICE shines. As always. The guy could SING (AND write songs). Plus the bass, solid drums and guitar all over these. What a band, man.

Before lights-down, panhandlers walked the aisles. A woman made a bee-line for me (it seemed) and shouted, "Gimme a dollar! I know you've got a dollar!"
I froze, embarrassed and looked to David, a New Yorker; he was red-faced and quiet.
Seconds later, the lights dimmed, the intro from "Jungleland" began, the "panhandlers" climbed onstage and the play continued.
President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama attended a Bruce Springsteen concert Friday evening in Barcelona at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium. The Obamas, the Spielbergs and Springsteens had dinner at the Amar restaurant in the Palace Hotel Thursday night and surprised the staff with a request for a group photo. The photo was uploaded by staff member Pol Perello with the comment "The pleasure this job brings you!"
