    @gsora @GossiTheDog honestly disappointed by the turn he's getting into. Lack of engagement?

    @GossiTheDog @gsora the Human Pin review gets up to the 12th minutes or so before starting to say really bad things about it. It's the "click baiting" of those titles that are not matching the person (whom I follow since many years ago, with love and respect).

    Good Morning. 🌄

    From this Apple support article, I (mis)understood that the M3 could 'only' drive two displays in total. 🤔

    I have three running here if you include the laptop panel. 💪

    I was a bit worried when I got this laptop for work that I couldn't use my existing display setup. I was happily worrying unnecessarily.

    I believe that Bulma deserves much more credit than it has (very rarely mentioned). Nowadays for some reason everyone and their cousin just pick Tailwind and start building "components" with it or, worse, use a framework ON TOP of tw when you could just use a solid, battery included, modern system like https://bulma.io/

    caludio,
    @caludio@mastodon.social avatar

    @danjac I checked bulma yesterday and the customization options are many. My point is not that bulma ia necessarily better, but that many tw use cases are probably better served with bulma

    Man, the domino effect of bottom up worker replacement from LLMs is going to be a wild ride.

    Can you imagine how many companies are going to hollow out their knowledge and skill base?

    How often we'll have to deal with compounding hallucinations until the whole thing collapses on made up numbers and accounts?

    We already have this problem with people, but can you imagine how fast this will go when less and less people are there to supervise? To cross T's and dot I's?

    I can't make up my mind about HTMX. I see the value, especially for small websites, one-man shops, and so on, but … I have never really liked Angular because of the "attributes-driven development" experience and I am still getting the same vibe.

    @GossiTheDog WCAG 2.2 doesn't allow CAPTCHAs

    caludio,
    @caludio@mastodon.social avatar

    @GossiTheDog Official web accessibility guidelines.

    "AA" is the grade that companies are required to implement, whereas "AAA" is one step further. WCAG Version 2.2 (which became the latest recommendation a couple of weeks ago), moved captchas to "AA"

    caludio,
    @caludio@mastodon.social avatar

    @GossiTheDog I think I was mistaken anyway; 2.2 Level AA doesn't forbid CAPTCHA altogether, but is stricter on their "type":

    "Level AA allows the use of CAPTCHAs, but with specific conditions. CAPTCHAs should use common objects rather than relying on complex cognitive tests. This means that CAPTCHAs should involve tasks like identifying objects in images rather than solving puzzles."

    Gmail’s mobile website loads 100 KB of JavaScript, while the desktop site loads over 3 MB.

    Once the HTML version kicks the bucket in a few months, I plan to switch to the mobile website on desktop (via UA string spoofing). I just need a basic UI to read and write mostly text messages. I don’t want a bloated web app that loads for multiple seconds. I am being serious. The loading screen genuinely annoys me.

    On the web, you have to jump through hoops to get great performance.

    caludio,
    @caludio@mastodon.social avatar

    @simevidas The message, sorry. I want to be able to "mark as read" explicitly (I want to "process" an email when I have time, and I want to leave them "to read"). Only possible on the web - afaik
