The NHS is holding a public consultation on the use of puberty blockers in trans kids. Please respond if you are able.

Nurses are better equipped to handle mentally ill individuals than the police due to their focus on compassionate care and understanding mental health. A healthcare-oriented approach can better address mental health related issues than punitive measures, creating a more supportive and effective environment for those struggling with mental health issues.
In summary: Social Services > Law Enforcement for addressing complex societal issues = Nurses > Cops

I’m watching Mr Bates vs The Post Office.

I remember reading about this when hundreds of people took took the post office to court. The more I read about it, the angrier I got. Now I’m watching the dramatisation of how it impacted people’s lives and I’m even angrier.

  2. Windows closed, despite how stinky it gets
  3. Very noisy music (heavy metal works best for us but YMMV)

At a pro-Palestinian protest in Amsterdam last week, riot police violently broke up an encampment of students seeking boycotts and divestment from any company that profits off of Israeli genocide or apartheid. In the commotion, a police K9 lunged for an officer’s arm and refused to let go. Such dogs are typically trained to attack the aggressor.

Don't tell me Sir Beige Starmer is just as bad as Richie Rich Sunak. He isn't. I'm not saying he's going to be good. He isn't good. But he will categorically not be as bad for as many people as the Tories.
Would we do better under a different system? Yes.
Will some things improve less than we would all like? Yes.
Are there some policies where Labour isn't much different from the Tories? A few.

It's still going to be a HUGE improvement to the vast majority.
