Sometimes I need a wee bit of help to get the googly eyes working properly.

It has been a long day. Still, nearly the weekend.

Messing about while trying to work out some diplomatic phrasing for an annoying email.

The rainbow worms are helping.

Well, miracle of miracles, I have remembered it's Friday 🎉

The Friday dancers like to be topical when they can, but New Year is annoyingly on a Monday so they are celebrating the in-between days; reflecting on the past, anticipating the future.

And dancing, very badly, obvs.

A hand drawn animated loop of 30 dancers (1 added every Friday for the last 30 weeks), each doing their own moves. They stand on cartoon clouds against a teal background, in three groups. The furthest away are in a row, and individual dancers have letters on their torsos spelling out GOODBYE 2023. The middle range form a row reading HELLO 2024. In the front are the final set dancing in front of a rainbow that appears and disappears in a sparkling swoop. On the left is a sign, stuck in the cloud, reading THE INBETWEEN DAYS.

Years back I took a bunch of photos of dolls in a museum, and every time I stumble across them I am reminded of how much I love their expressions.

I find it hard to believe that the person who made this one hadn't sat through a long, meandering meeting that should very definitely have been an email.

Me: Yeah, but it's just a bit of fun.

Brain: It's the CHICKEN dance.

The river was very mellow and pretty this morning. I am quite a fan of rippling cloud reflections.

They're an absolute pain to turn into a decent quality gif mind you, better quality animated webp on my website.

It's Friday! Woo! It's been an unusual week and I nearly forgot 🤦‍♀️

Anyhow, week 50 of the dancers and, as ever, I hope you all have a fine weekend if you possibly can 😀

Hand drawn animation loop. There are 50 simple figures each doing their own dance move. The main body of the screen is a red starburst sky, with a rainbow framing the top. 47 dancers are on the lines of the rainbow, doing their thing. The new dancer for this week is larger, and centre stage on a cloud at the bottom, with a dancer either side for company.

Here's an alternate view of the same falls, taken from the same spot. They're the Falls of Dochart, and they run through the small village of Killin. They are lovely.

Further away on the left are more rocks then some white houses on the riverside street. A small island with large trees is central to the frame, with the water gushing around either side.
