1/2 on the Wall I keep my orchids over the years in our backyard, and when they bloom, bring them to display on our front rock wall. This picture is taken from inside my big front window so as to get them all in the picture! Then I’ve got the close-ups of the six current blooming orchids. But have to split this display into two toots!

New volcanic eruptions north of Grindavîk, Iceland.

  • Started at 8.23pm. local (UTC).
  • The fissure is ~3.5 km long.
  • Fissure location is similar to Dec 19 eruptions.
  • Lava flowing south towards Grindavík. Also, west towards Grindavíkurvegur and to the east.
  • Grindavîk and the Blue Lagoon evacuated.
  • The current eruption is the most powerful in the current system so far, according to geophysicists.

    adventures here is a little lady, praying mantis, climbing up a tree at the beach. We observed several egg cases from other lady mantises all along the trunk. I love the colors and the textures of this nature scene.❤️

    Last night, my husband asked me to look at something that felt weird on his back, and honestly, it looked like a cancerous mole. I told him he needed to go to the doctor this morning, so he did. The Nurse Practitioner said, Yep, that looks gnarly, and took a biopsy. Now we have to wait for a week, which feels way too long. I know basal cell carcinomas are very treatable, and almost never lead to death, but I still feel anxious. Has anyone else dealt with this before?

    @RickiTarr my HoneyBear was diagnosed 6 years ago with metastatic melanoma. More than 40 internal tumors from neck to belly. Given 5 months to live. No obvious symptoms except a fast growing growth. He is cancer free after immunotherapy ❤️😘❣️☮️🕉️💟 Science is the Bomb 💥💥💥 & just for fun

    Monstrous decision that says women’s lives are not to be protected, even in the face of a medical emergency. Gun owners are fiercely protected in Texas. Women, not.

    A lot of people need to take a hard look at how they are voting or plan to. Who gets elected in Texas is one thing, but the Fifth Circuit is comprised of judges appointed by Presidents.

    I went for a short hike up to Chickadee Ridge above Lake Tahoe this morning. I've lived in the Reno area for >30yrs & never hiked up there, I guess because of the crowds. It's a popular spot because the chickadees will feed out of your hand. But today I didn't find any chickadees at the top. Lower down I saw a couple, saw one woman trying to get them to eat out of her hand but she wasn't having much luck so I didn't bother to setup to make detailed photos of the birds. It was a nice hike though.

    @elaterite many many years ago when I lived at Lake Tahoe I was cross country skiing. Not sure what trail it might’ve been. This was Northlake Tahoe but indeed, I had a chickadee eat out of my hand! It was a magical experience.❤️
