How about a psychedelic landscape to help get you through the week? This is part of my continuing series of landscapes with a mosaic effect, similar to one shown on the CBS News Sunday Morning show last week. It isn't a real mosaic, but it can be printed on all kinds of products as well as prints!

"Night Blooming Lotus Flowers" is the latest in my series of these lovely flowers...they actually close their petals at night but I like the idea of them blooming only at night...

Over the past couple of weeks now, Kumquat has decided that he likes being up on our computer desks. Often times he'll get up on mine, nose around for a bit and then just lay down just to the left of me like you see here and just fall asleep.

As you can see, he seems to be quite happy and content.

I created another flower garden abstract to complement the first one. Still experimenting with creating a 3D quilt effect but please note, this is not an actual quilt! I love how this one looks printed on products too, especially the throw pillows.

I've been hearing from some US friends asking if I'm alright because of all the wildfires in Canada. There is a "fire of note" nearby and this morning we can smell the smoke. They say it's only going to get worse as the season goes on. It's pretty scary.

I'm sharing this photo I took of two black bears playing for because that's what I was when I came across them while hiking...I kept perfectly silent and still as they wrestled like I wasn't even there. I'm still not sure if they even saw me. Eventually they curled up for a nap behind a bush.

A friend of mine once told me that every morning she'd find that something had taken a single bite out of many of the tomatoes in her garden. She finally discovered who the guilty culprit was...it was a fox. How foxy!

I've been seeing a French Bulldog quite often on my morning walk. They are such feisty little characters! So this image is my tribute to that breed. (This is artwork in my continuing series of images with a stained glass effect...not real stained glass!)

I couldn't tell you why exactly but I think of bears as my spirit animal. I don't get a chance to see them much anymore since moving...I miss those experiences. But the first time I saw one when I was hiking alone, I was terrified!

Sometimes I intentionally create something to calm myself. Not that I'm dealing with anything wrong in particular, but just because sometimes all the little things build up. Hopefully this image expresses tranquility and balance.

Chickadees are one of my favorite birds...they will eat right out of your hand if you have something of interest. And spring is my favorite season, so I've combined chickadees and cherry blossoms in this with a quilted effect to give it some depth.(Not a quilt though!)
