In 2020, when we all went crazy, I spent a few months wandering around the yard (in the redwoods) watching the banana slugs. They seemed to spend equal time eating and fucking, and I decided that wouldn’t be such a bad existence at all. These are leopard slugs, but they’re very similar.
This is, I think, the refractory period for them. When they first come together, there’s a lot of slithery motion, but after they’ve been going at it for a while they become quiescent. Hope it was great, y’all!
I made some terrible #vegan cinnamon rolls the other day (I CAN’T bake😔) and left one out in the garden for the birds. Our dog brought in a big piece last night and it had the tiniest #slug ever on it, just munching away 🙂. I managed to get the slug off the cinnamon roll (before my dog ate it!), and placed them on a lil rock in the garden in the flower bed. Thought I’d share because they’re a cute lil slug 😌 #tinyanimalsonfingers
