I always love how the goldfinches turn such a bright shade of yellow during spring and summer, this one here is called "Lovely Goldfinches", hope you enjoy:)
The weather's quite nice today so I thought I'd try taking a quick walk and take a couple of photos!
This dunnock flew into a tree right next to me and started singing. If you look closely, you can see that it is missing its middle talon on its left leg. The beak also seems to be a bit… chipped?
Nature is filled with beauty and also fascinating. Migrating Canada geese can fly 1,000 miles in just 24 hours, often returning to the same destination year after year.

This little cutie is Norma the parrotlet. She’s my best friend. She's only four inches tall, but she's full of personality. She loves to cuddle up under my shirt while I'm listening to music or pacing around. She loves me unconditionally, and gets jealous when I'm on my phone or taking my medication. She's also incredibly smart, often outsmarting me! We do everything together, and I never get to go to the bathroom alone when she's around! #pet#bird#pets#birds#parrot#PetsOfMastodon
Now that the sunbirds are grown up, they leave around 7am to go on their bird adventures all day and return around 6pm for bed time.
I had a good look at the nest today and was amused and quite impressed that it is made up of rafia string, twigs, dried leaves and...fur! What dog or cat contributed to this nest, I wonder?
