Pictures from this #weekend with my #friends. 🤗 We went to the #gym, ate Christmassy rice porridge with cinnamon and sugar. My #cats Sanni and Siiri came home to me and we took them out for a walk, but they didn't want to stay in the cold weather for long. They liked the new toys and all the attention they got. 🤗 #caturday#suomimastodon#finland

Good #morning, good #day, good #night my Mastodon #friends around the world. I had to wake up at 5.50am and I'll have an office day. In the afternoon I'll travel to North #Karelia#Finland. Tomorrow I'll have #holiday! I will visit my childhood friend. We will go for example to see autumn colours. Let's see if I see any northern lights! #suomimastodon#today
I’m heartbroken. I know it’s silly to grieve when celebrities die, but Chandler was always my favorite #Friends character and that show has gotten me through so many of the worst phases of my life.
Friends is the show I turn to when I’m in the darkest pits of despair. And Chandler, with his jokes, and then his beautiful love story with Monica, always makes me smile.
Hello my Mastodon #friends. How was your #Christmas? I had a really hard time with my #mother. We assume her dementia is a behavioural variant frontotemporal #dementia that causes emotional problems and bad behavior. I was exhausted when I got #home#yesterday. I even got off the train in Pasila, too early. 🙈 I had a migraine yesterday and #today. But guess what? I had a #date today and we had so much fun. He drove for 2,5 hours to take me out for a #dinner and now he's driving back home. 🫶 😘
My daughter and her friend take an adventurous leap into summer, and by "summer", I mean the Pacific ocean. Shot on the super telephoto on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. https://flic.kr/p/2oM7SHu
I remember the first Ford Mustangs, that was around 1964 and for a few years they were a popular car. I could only dream of owning one. The cars I went through in the late 60s were older cash cars. Mostly Chevy's, I at times had a 54, 56, and 57 Chevy but for a time drove an old 51 Ford coupe. My last vehicle before leaving home for the Marines was a 50 Chevy pickup truck. The truck was mostly taxicab yellow with a few primer spots. It had a 6-volt battery and didn't always start, so I often had to push it to start. It was useful to travel with a friend. Later, in the early to mid 70s, I did drive a 67 or 68 Mustang. It seems back then I changed cars like I changed my clothes. To be fair, it was often because they stopped running.

Talking about isolation and not having many irl connections, throwing in my 2 cents because I've been dealing with this myself for years, especially when my burnout was at its worst. I found that my biggest barrier, personally, was my insecurity upon losing the ability to mask the way I used to. It's hard to be outgoing when you've been taught that your affect is inherently wrong. I'm completely rebuilding my confidence from the ground up
Sleep didn't come easy last night. I finally just got up and went to the family room and kicked back in my magic chair. Sleep came to me after 03:00 A.M. True to his heart, Charlie left me alone until almost seven, "time to eat." But after feeding the dogs and putting on the coffee, I slept another hour, or so. Speaking of Charlie, he just came in to pester me about going outside again.
Sometimes I wonder, in all that tossing and turning, did I sleep a bit without knowing. Hmmm ... more coffee please.
“It’s a long way back to sunset, a far way on to dawn, so you summon all the fool things of your life, the stupid lovely things done with people known so very well who are now so very dead...” - Ray Bradbury
“Care keeps his watch in every old man’s eye,
And where care lodges, sleep will never lie.”
His wit was so legendary that directors constantly used his jokes and suggestions on the show. He will be remembered as one of the most iconic TV characters of all time, Chandler Bing
Hello my Mastodon #friends. How are you #today? I went to see my parents last week and I came home on Friday by midnight. My furry babies Sanni and Siiri came home to me yesterday. ☺️ #catsofmastodon#suomimastodon#finland
OC A small dose of 1997(?) TV nostalgia I found. It's only 5cm tall, so useless in every way
