Reading a #Mailchimp help page, and after a list of instructions it says: "Nice job". After another one, "Excellent!". I'm Really struggling to formulate the thought process that leads to congratulating users for something you don't know they actually did or even understood, as though everybody setting up #marketing campaigns is seven years old.
I'm so angry with MailChimp. I hate them generally and resent the (tiny) part of my job that needs to use it... but they've just managed to screw up my audience, and now I can't use the damn thing at all with the email addresses I have. Fuck you.
Any suggestions for a decent alternative that will enable me to create a mail template, ideally on a free account?
With #mailchimp being awful about unions, I'm interested in ditching them for a new service. I have a single list of ~100 subscribers and I need to be able to support segmenting that list, merge tags for custom subscriber data, and RSS-to-email campaigns. Anyone have a recommended service they like?
I'm looking around for a blog+newsletter platform and so far #Ghost is the clear winner; simple, looks great, good price (USD$9/month). I looked into #Beehiiv and OMG it's more complicated than using #Mailchimp which I hate. A close second would be #PencilBooth which is perfect for illustrators. I am also considering returning to #EmailOctopus which I liked a lot but there's no blog/website component (other than static landing pages, meh), however it is free for under 2,500 subscribers. Anyone have any other suggestions?
Any Mastodon/Mailchimp aficionado’s on here? Wanting to add a Mastodon icon to the footer of our Mailchimp newletters. Currently only seeing Twitter but no Mastodon. Perhaps not possibleyet?
another one bites the dust: #tinyletter is deleting everything on february 29th, including old newsletter archives, because tech companies are apparently bound by law to torch archives when they leave. fuck 'em all. #mailchimp
Anyone with small mailing lists (<500) have recommendations so I can get out of Intuit's grasp (I've been a #MailChimp user forever, and have just been lazy about getting out since they were acquired.)
Going through my packed clothes, I can finally share one of my favorite thrift finds. Unfortunately I'm far too anxious to wear this in public...
The only identifier is that the Mailchimp logo and title is printed on the back, which leads me to believe this was a custom design done by the Mailchimp team at some point?
I can't find anything on this online.
Urrrrgh! Having to deal with email designs is already terrible enough. Having to deal with Mailchimp's terribly slow and buggy interface is even worse!
