Boris Grifter Supremo, and how his mates benefit

Apparently Boris paid just under 4 million for his latest home in cash. Rolled up to the solicitors with suitcases of cash?!!! Is no journalist looking into this?!

jacqui76,

@KarenawokeKaren

This story appears just as the pathetic cult members hold a little conference to bring the dear leader back.

Are they really saying a man like the who is corrupt to the core will save them from the disaster that is coming their way.

Please let the infighting continue...we will rid of them soon enough.

As you will know the have been forced to effectively (re)nationalise to join the other (now) state run part so the network.

The problem is this piecemeal (re)nationalisation is conceived as a short-term fix, but leaving no long-term vision for a state-led future for the railways... and any solutions that might be imported from the Continent, continue to suffer from the little englander complaint of 'not invented here'!

Its time for full nationalisation!

Sadly for those working in & hoping the would (quickly) conclude an agreement on outstanding fees to allow the to rejoin the research programme, the 'discount' offered by the EU for the two year delay has been deemed insufficient by UK negotiators, ensuring the lockout from the research community continues;

tthe longer the delay (and uncertainty) the less likely bridges can/will be be rebuilt with located research teams!

Another own goal.

So he spent £6000 instead of £30 by taking a helicopter instead of the train, but he also generated ~1100 kg of CO2 instead of ~10kg per person for the train. (No idea how many people were in the helicopter)

“Sunak uses helicopter for trip that would have taken just over an hour by train”
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/may/09/sunak-helicopter-train-southampton-prime-minister-rail

Helicopter use cannot be casual - it must be a last resort, when there are no other options.

(Back-of-the-envelope calculation based on fuel consumption)

@helenczerski I grew up in Southampton. Does anyone know which particular chemist allowed this hideous on their premises? I would like to know so that my friends (and I) can avoid giving them any business.

Co-worker had crown fall out, doesn't have a anymore, nobody local accepting patients.

Private sector is cannibalising the public sector and nothing being done about it.

My dentist de-registered me about a year ago, refusing to do anymore NHS work, offering me to sign-up for £19 a month - with two free check-ups included a year!

Public service, not private profit.

Capitalismus delendus est!

Look, we at Tory H.Q. know it looks bad. A £30 rail fare compared to a £6000 helicopter ride, plus the environmental issue. But you have to remember,we’re tories we don’t give a fuck about pissing away public money or the environment

TJ1001, to politics

Oh that’s alright then, the police have been politicised and now will now apologise after you’ve been banged up. Released without charge, materials found where not lock on devices but the point has been made, protest & you’ll be nicked watch Sunak throw the police under the bus now, ‘’independent blah blah blah’’

“Not My King? If you do not wish to live in a country that has a monarchy the solution is not to turn up with your silly boards. The solution is to emigrate.”

This was said today by Lee Anderson, vice chair of the party.

A senior member of government said those that resent the feudalism of the monarchy are not welcome to live in this country.

Freedom of speech?
Democracy?

The sign I saw within spitting distance of Police HQ is spot on. This is a fascist regime.

It looks like the narrative pushed by the @BBC & now Nick...is starting! Tough night for us but not that great for either.

The people of England voted yesterday and somehow the think they are doing okay & it's a blip!

Well if that's the case then should be happy to call a early & face the electorate himself.

It's not about the last year, it's about the last of Rule.

Just had a knock on my door trying to get my vote

He explained how under Labour unemployment was at its highest. I reminded him of Thatcher

He then suggested the infamous note 'the country was broke' was indicative of how Labour mismanaged the economy. I reminded him how a country cannot run out of money and of Liz Truss's time in government

He ended his conversation by saying I need to read some history books

I called him a patronising tosser & told him to fuck off

jacqui76,

@Geri

Perfectly reasonable reaction to a on your doorstep being a patronizing twat!

As seems usual in our electoral ward, the usual suspects - Labour and Tory - leafleted us some time ago, but were so boringly similar that we just recycled the leaflets. LibDem? Greens? Can't be bothered it seems: no leaflets from either, and I could only find the Green candidate via Google. LibDem? Remarkably difficult to find out anything current. Obviously not a serious contender... they keep talking about voter apathy, but around here, candidate apathy is alive and well. Which is a shame.

Edit: typo

Two charts for context in the current crisis in the - unsurprisingly if you dramatically reduce the real pay of your staff, they look elsewhere for work.

The mechanics of the defunding of the NHS laid bare.

The wreckers have been at work for some time & repairing the NHS will be a generational task - there will be no quick-fixed for Labour to push through, other than starting by restoring funding levels, of course!

Chart: One-in-seven UK-trained doctors has left to practice in another country & this figure continues to trend upwards: share of doctors trained in each country who are practicing overseas (%) Data shows comparison of UK wth Belgium, Sweden, Australia Switzerland, Italy, Norway & France (in defending order of %) While most other countries show stable or only small changes in % the UK data is much higher (double the next highest - Belgium) and is growing as % to currently over 15%

deliver election leaflet to 200 residents in saying you don’t need to vote, just be on electoral roll.

This is criminal level lying. I don’t buy that it was incompetence. It may be on their leaflets, but they know its a safe Labour seat.

I want an Electoral Commission investigation and proper fines put in place for this outrageous attempt to disenfranchise people.

Curious to know whether there have been any other recent examples of leaflets prepared for the local election on 4th May that suggest you don’t need to vote?

They claim incompetence in , but I want to check if there is a pattern of behaviour.

Bonus points for links to articles or pictures of flyers!
