Mount Si is one of the in . The other'un is Rattlesnake Mountain. North Bend lies between them and stood in for the town on the legendary television show, which canonically was much closer to Spokane than Seattle so it was in the Rockies rather than the Cascades.

I got to the Quad early in the morning to photograph to cherry blossoms, this was my first shot in the dark.
No tripod with me, but a fast lens and high ISO did the job.

There was an entire landscape through which they ran, grazed, strolled, stayed together, and watched out for one another.

In the background, the mountains were protective, benevolent, a refuge in which they lived, totally oblivious to the existence of metropolises, cell phones, automobiles, and TV sets.
