"The country's ambulance service is funded by Te Whatu Ora - Heath New Zealand and ACC, which fund about 82 percent of the service, at a cost of about $380 million a year.
The rest is made up through donations, and a part charge of $98 for patients transported by ambulance."
> Le mot #ambulance est écrit à l'envers sur l'ambulance afin de permettre aux automobilistes de lire le mot lorsqu'ils regardent dans leurs rétroviseurs. En effet, l'image formée par un miroir est renversée, elle est inversée de gauche à droite.
The other day when I was under the #ambulance 🚑 I was pondering how rusty some of the stuff is getting. After the brakes locked up @dachary commented about how she hoped this didn't end up like the vanagon, just an expensive untrustworthy thing you keep having to throw money at.
Out of curiousity i called a dealer that sells our brand and asked how much they charge to "remount" the big box with all the ambulance stuff onto a new chassis...
MSF calls for investigation into Israeli attack on emergency vehicles in Gaza
According to MSF, on November 20, an Israeli military bulldozer crashed into their clearly marked vehicles and an Israeli tank then opened fire, causing a blaze that engulfed the five cars and vans, and also damaged parts of the organisation’s clinic.
That attack left a relative of an MSF staff member dead and injured another worker with the organisation.
#Teachers were to be 'helped' by #teachingassistants, but they increasingly took on more & more jobs fully qualified teachers might have been expected to do normally;
Now we find that in the #Ambulance service, around one third of responses are by first responders, not #paramedics... again something intended to ease pressure has become part fo the normal service.
First responders are being put in a difficult situation by the shortage of paramedics!
'The resource for emergency service vehicle awareness on the road'
UK drivers should be aware of what do do if an emergency response vehicle is behind them with blue lights and sirens. I only found out about the site today so I wanted to let others know. It's another situation where your driving could help save a life. Please pass it on.
Also that fine doesn't even cover the cost of an #ambulance drive in the #USA, nor is the compamy.seemingly required to pay restitution and assistanve for said person for the rest of their life.
And that's why said job would be illegal in #Germany to even offer to minors!
I knew private #ambulance companies were cutting back on transport services but I didn't know it was this bad.
If I can be That Person for a second what this article fails to address is that on our end as providers that doing this is dangerous especially in an area like Boston where we have triple deckers with narrow stairways and if I can be blunt Americans are not getting any smaller.
And frequently if we as a crew ask for help moving someone we cannot get it.
