I took this picture a few days ago while roaming outside. The cloud formation reminds me a bird. A phoenix or perhaps an eagle standing facing the camera with its wings spread, perhaps?

@JoshuaHolland Man, I'm not sure they'll be able to move on from that packed House legislative schedule. I saw it the other day online and thought it was a joke from The Onion. It isn't... they have RIDICULOUS legislation on their docket. @ai6yr I was almost never around cats as a child, but I did adopt two as an adult. Hopefully that means I don't have the increased schizophrenia risk. I was actually thinking of going to the shelter today to perhaps adopt another cat. I haven't had one for over 6 years...

@firefly @ai6yr The cats I've had have been 100% indoors. I'm allergic to cats, but it didn't stop me from adopting the two that I did. I'll stop by the shelter today I haven't yet decided if I'm going to adopt another one... it's been 6+ years since I've had a pet...

Parents of teens, I need a book recommendation!

This is to appease some well-meaning but overtly Christian and out-of-touch family members. Something for a 12yo who reads well above his age, along the lines of inspiration/motivation for teens to be good humans and members of society

Rather than have them pushing propaganda on my son I’d like to find a worthwhile read they will feel addresses the insufficient Christian influence in his life

I awoke this morning and turned on my TV, which was on ESPN. A feature on Coach Lawson and this speech was already playing, and I watched the rest of it. I then watched the full video on YouTube, and I encourage everyone to do the same. It may not be possible to have such an important philosophy expressed in a more succinct way. Thank you to Coach Lawson and to the person who thought to record and later to share her speech with everyone. I'm always going to root for you.

I saw this clip tonight, and I was transported to my senior year of high school. I lip-synced and danced to "Every Little Step" by Bobby Brown for our Christmas talent show in front of my entire school. I wore a tank top, suspenders, spandex shorts, and a hat. I surprised everyone and tied for 1st place! 😆

@ai6yr So if there's a power outage and that freezer defrosts, is the owner of the building a mass murderer? Will Alabama in their infinite wisdom start counting the embryos as part of their state population? That's a great way to lower the per capita welfare spending on Alabamans (Alabamites? Alabamoids? Alabamilluminati?) by having thousands of "people" not using a single dime in welfare.

Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, Texas... you'll all free to go. No one is stopping you, except the Constitution.
