It's still dark so there's no progress I can make on repair work (outstanding since the hurricane of 2022, insurance claim time has run out, the contractors never came.

Reading the vitriol in the comments section is part of the fun 🤭 OK, I am sadistic. Here's the thing - both sides of the #cat indoor/outdoor debate are right. But it depends on the where you live, the region and the cat in question (apparently there are cats who prefer to stay indoors? Omg where are those cats? I always get the damn opposite.) I think people should chuck away black & white thinking & just accept it is COMPLICATED.

#Greetings from a train to Joensuu. I'm on my way to my #home village Simpele. The purpose is to put Christmas curtains into my #mother's kitchen and some #Christmas lights in her living room. I will also go to see my #father in the nursing home. #alzheimerssucks. 🫶 Tomorrow I will heat my mother a #sauna. Help needed. I will be downsizing over the next few months. I have boxes and boxes of gently used dog toys (gently used because my late dog Sammi was oddly careful with her toys!). I've been unable to bring myself to get rid of them, but I cannot take them all with me. I have BOXES of them. Does anyone know of a US charity that would take them? I have tried the local SPCA; believe it or not, they said no!

As a reflection of how content is often skewed heavily by American audiences & creators, I was surprised to find out that the perception that cats should be indoor only is a uniquely American and perhaps, Aussie one.
In Europe & in Malaysia it is not unusual at all to find indoor/outdoor cats.
The reason why is probably a few things. In US & Oz, the local fauna is being devastated by cats. Also, the wildlife can kill #cats.
A thing I like about cats is that they have no filter.
If a cat loves and trusts you, it's not because they are inclined by breeding to do so. It's because, despite their innate narcissism, they have decided you are worthy of attention.
If a cat thinks you are a good person, and worthy of a snuggle, it is in spite of them. It is begrudging. It is beyond earned.
If a cat loves you then you HAVE to love yourself. It's practically an order. You have been found worthy. It's not your choice. #cats
After taking what was a brave leap forward and moving Boo's litter box and food/water dishes to locations that would be more convenient for me, Boo spent most of the day going to the old locations and wailing his head off.
The coup lasted eight hours.
I just moved his litter box, food, and water dishes back to their original and inconvenient locations.
Boo is now napping on the couch. My side of the couch. Which he took over weeks ago.
