Does anyone have pointers for remote job for one of the following positions in the EU:
Junior Developer (Rust; but i have varying levels of experience in a number of other programming languages like Python, Java, C++, Haskell, Typescript)
Junior Embedded Developer (Rust, although I have some amount of C experience)
Junior System Administrator (Linux, specifically NixOS and some other enthusiast linux distributions)
I am currently a 6th semester IT Uni student, and as such do not have a degree.
I have several years of personal experience with these positions
I don't think I have many Fediverse connections to the #cybersecurity community in #Sweden, but maybe this can get boosted by someone who does?
A friend just left their job (for reasons unrelated to the position), and in a moment of weakness, as the only one around with my own Fediverse server, I may have volunteered to see if anyone wants to #GetFediHired as their replacement. Technical cybersecurity, incident response, mostly Windows, Swedish language proficiency and in-person attendance (mid-southern Sweden) required. https://liu.se/jobba-pa-liu/lediga-jobb/23904
I just heard the bad news that I am probably going to need a new job starting in July.
So, before beginning the regular search, I wanted to ask my Fedi friends if anyone could use a capable C++ programmer with lots of graphics and networking experience. I wouldn't mind a change, so I'm open to anything. Even other programming languages! It would be awesome if I could use Linux to do the work. 🐧
Locations I would consider are: Central Europe, Melbourne, Sydney or Remote

You must be a FOSS aficionado who is willing to work on pushing a windows-based environment towards something from this millenium. Challenges are internal friction on the dev side and lack of knowledge of non-IT people.
You must be enthusiastic about industrial environments and heavy machinery.
EU citizen/work permit preferred, hybrid office/wfh. Relocation assistance. DM for details.
Let's try one with some hashtags. I'm #hiring a staff software engineer for my product dev team.
Looking for experience with single-page app or distributed systems architecture. Practices like TDD, pairing, CI/CD. And most importantly, leading and mentoring other devs.
Day-to-day my team is remote, though there are some location limitations, and US only.
I don't know if this is a thing here on Mastodon for non-dev-jobs, but I'm looking for remote #VFX work. I have a bajillion years of compositing experience in film and TV.
Most recent experience includes compositing supervision for HBO's “Julia” season 2 (check out episode 5), Broken Lizard's "Quasi" for Spotlight/Hulu, and compositing artist for “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F" #getFediHired
I don't tout myself much on here, but from 1st July 2024 I'll have some capacity to work with new clients on a regular basis (an existing client is gradually moving work in-house due to increased volume). If you know anyone who needs a PHP app maintaining on a regular basis (3-10 hours/month), please point them my way. 😀
It's official, folks. I'm looking for my next job opportunity as a #macosdev or #iosdev. 24 years experience and an #xcode book as icing on the cake. Based in the US (Southern Virginia); looking for remote. I deeply appreciate boosts and leads.
Looking for a mobile app developer (Android, iOS) with experience in Angular and Capacitor as runtime environment and deployment in Google Play and Apple App Store.
We also need one more person in DevOps. Experience with Kubernetes, MySQL/MariaDB, PHP, Node.js is welcome.
The company is based in Berlin, Germany, but depending on experience we may also arrange remote work as well.
So the company I am working for currently went bust.
Does someone need a backend developer (Rust, Python, Ruby or PHP), embedded firmware developer (ESP32, Atmel architecture, some STM32, fluent in C, C++ and beginner on Rust) or cloud ops (Experience with AWS and Telekom Cloud, K8s clusters, containerization, etc.)
Needs to be 100% remote, my timezone is CET but I like to work late, so US timezones are not out of the question either.
I'm working on a new web development project and I'm looking for a developer who is comfortable with backend Python work (Flask or Django) and strong in frontend web development (CSS, Javascript) to work in an independent contractor basis.
You'd be working with me and an existing developer on a website that I hope will help the Jewish community. I'll explain more when we talk!
I love working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences, and believe that diversity is a strength!
I don't have a huge budget, but I can be very flexible with work hours and you'd have the opportunity to work on a meaningful project for a community that needs help and support right now, and to get paid to do it.
If you're interested in working together, please DM me and we'll go from there!
